The Checklist is Complete!

After a long couple of months, @mrsbozz and I finally made it to the last sporting event we needed to this past weekend. We try to get to all of our nieces and nephews games at least once through the season to see them play. It started a while ago when we went to our nieces volleyball game.

Then, a little after that we made it to watch my nephews play football. From there, we proceeded on to university softball, rec league soccer, and finally rec league softball before settling on this youth league football game on Saturday.

We were actually supposed to go to one of these football games earlier in the season, but things got changed up with my nieces university softball schedule, so we had to change out plans quickly and go watch her play versus making it to the football game.

As I said in the post from my main account @bozz, now that we have our Fall sports in the book, we are quickly going to have to shift over to Winter sports. That means lots and lots of basketball.

I think both of my nephews on this side of the family and two of my nieces are going to be playing basketball this year. Likewise, our good friend's two kids are both going to be playing basketball as well.

Good thing I enjoy the game!

At least it isn't soccer...

My friend's son didn't get to play too much, but he did get some time on the field. Despite all of that, they won the game and it was pretty exciting. It's always a bit interesting to see kids play at this level. They change the rules a bit to make things easier for them, but there are still some pretty phenomenal plays from time to time.

We had a nice time visiting with our friend despite the wind an the cold.

Meanwhile, my other niece had a killer weekend on the ball diamonds. I don't have her exact stats, but it was pretty impressive from what I saw. Saturday they ran into a bit of rain and they had a single loss on the day that was only by one point.

The other games were just offensive showcases. In this game they ended up run ruling the other team. If I had to guess, my niece probably went. 7/10 on the weekend if not better. She was playing really well though from what I could see.

This is one of her last tournaments before fall softball is over and she has to switch over to basketball mode. I think she is going to be a little sad about that. She really loves softball and that is probably what she is going to play at the university level.

Thankfully, now that the weather is getting colder, all of our outdoor sports are over and the only thing we have to worry about now is crappy roads getting to and from the basketball venues. Maybe we will have a mild Winter. I might be okay with that.
