The headline from the above article is this:
"Kevin O'Leary Warns US Crypto Regulation Getting 'Very Aggressive' — 'You've Got to Stay out of the Way of SEC"
When I first read that headline I first was going to skip it. Although I am not a Kevin fan I thought he is a billionaire for a reason, and SEC as the last word got me. So I read.
To copy some quotes:
"Venture funding for new crypto projects is virtually dead and aftermarket trading for existing projects is at massive discounts. Reason? The regulator is now regulating by enforcement, penalties, and massive fines"
Now, are we not happy that Hive never had an Venture funding and we just plugged away building building building while we flew under the radar.
He says VC has moved on to AI. I don't have a clue, maybe it has. It seems logical as it is the next "thing".
The next quote is very interesting:
"You got to get on board with regulation. You’ve got to stay out of the way of Gensler and the SEC, and other regulators"
If you are operating in a web 2.5 thinking your 3.0 and using Venture funding and other people's money to build, of fucking course you got to get on board. You are not Decentralized.
Do you see them going after Bitcoin? No. They might go after exchanges, some states might be shutting down miners because of power consumption. But no one owns Bitcoin, or should I say everyone that has some owns Bitcoin.
The same with Hive. True web 3.0. Love it.
You have to educate yourself, don't take my word for stuff.
The last line of the article, and something I did not know.
"Mr. Wonderful was paid $15 million to become a spokesperson for FTX"
Now is that not interesting 🤔
Someone want to pay me 15 million to become a spokesman for Hive? Lmfao

I don't like regulations but it's going to happen and those regulations tend to help the bigger players. It works against the smaller people most of the time because we wouldn't really have the funds to chase them legally.
