I love this. The photos, while somewhat eerie, are gorgeous. The mood evoked could have gone a very different way, had the verse taken a different path.

Oh what lovely sleepy haze. It's a shame that mushroom has made you feel uneasy about it. Fog seems like such a big cozy protective - savior-like - blanket to me. Besides, you have @otherbrandt with you, right? I'm sure he will be sitting up all night beside the tent, using fog as shroud, with a hunting knife in hand. You know, just keeping an eye on that fog. Lovely story and pictures.
I guess fog can be like a safety blanket but don't forget your snorkel:
otherbrandt is rather unreliable, he is just as likely to stay up all night by my tent waving a knife and yelling at the fog as he is to disappear into the next county looking for a bar that's still open.
