People storing physical gold or for that matter the actual physical gold in temples in India is much larger than this figure. In india, by default the culture around GOLD is to buy the physical & stake it as jwellery.Even the poor does that
Paper gold is a house of cards—derivatives dwarf physical supply. If institutions froze it, panic would expose the scam, driving prices skyward as real buyers scramble for actual metal. Hedge now or regret later
