Crowdsource ideas for BlockTV opinion piece on SteemitTron

I recently recorded a video oped for @blocktvnews (it's in edit right now).

For next week they want me to cover the Steemit / Tron announcement with a long form video piece. I watched the AMA last night, listened to most of the Witness discussion after but I'm looking for crowd sourced ideas of what need to be said.

If you want to help, feed me with:

  • links to the crypto-press coverage;
  • succinct smart takes;
  • key dapps I should be mentioning;
  • anything else!

Let's compare that to @ned, who has barely 8,000 Twitter followers and hasn't much been involved with the blockchain space in the past couple years aside from dragging his feet on SMTs and communities since coining the term Smart Media Token back in 2016 or 2017. I can't find the original whitepaper at the moment, but I do remember it was fucking amazing and was the main reason I got involved in the Steem blockchain in the first place. Here is the most recent and very well-developed SMT whitepaper.

There's no fucking way that it can be worse than what the previous leadership of Steemit Inc. has done over the past two years.

From Telegram, interesting take on the possibilities of using Bittorrent to host big files within Steem. Probably not great for video but images.

Steem + BitTorrent is going to be f***ing incredible lol I was getting way too excited to hear a man speak about BitTorrent today, Hes right tho, he invested into BIT TORRENT... you cant argue with it... now we have it... what can it do for steem? Thats up to us but i already bought some BTT with some TRX I can get from USDT i can get from NEwdex EOS STEEMp which you can withdraw to from steem-engine lol we are creating a big web of pegged assets smart contracts and now we get bit torrent? We also have Telos DSTOR to use which is better than IPFS but yeah Bit torrent and web torrents old school infrastructure could literally be inter twined with steem and you coudl for example hahaah i hate to say it but hahaha get a Dlive stream that posts to Bit Torrent and utorrent earns you TRX BTT from it which a piece of could automatically sold on newdex for TRX STEEM which could then be use dto deposit to main net steem account power up and upvote post about the dlive stream, in a crazy cycle of money and technology ann viewable from a tron enabled samsung phone , which you coudl read your steemitron blog from

As far as voting in new witnesses to bring it down... seems impossible to me considering the actions we can take against that and how bad it would look for Justin Sun.

I've also talked about how Steem can easily survive with zero core development for years. The real money should be coming from forward-facing dapps, not internal development. What we have now is already pretty good and we could coast on that for quite some time. Ideally, the big money maker dapps would decide they need certain features and eventually program those features themselves and get them approved by the witnesses. Not to mention we already have the SPS funding development separately.
