FLOWER POWER IN A DRESS
theme party you need an outfit,
FLOWERS.
🌸🌸🌸
I had a dress but it was to open , to loose and Neede a few minor change of details, before I could wear it to to the party.
Flowers is a great theme, and first I wanted a hat with fake flower, than I tried a head band with roses, but finally decided on this gem.
It was 5,50 euro at the thrift store.
Cool when you find a cheap gem.
I am a fan of thrift stores, because another persons gem can be a perfect outfit for a party.
I didn’t need to do much alterations. I wanted to close the front and change the buttons.
I used iron tape. Iron tape usually it’s used for hems for curtains and trousers.
It’s to be layed between two layers of fabric and be ironed for 3 minutes to melt teh glue and voila it’s one layer.
I closed the front that way. The button in the middle was missing so I took the top one nd re places it to the middle and found another button and a sea star to make that as the top one.
At the collar of this dress blouse I added two sequences just because I liked it.
The process was far and simple and the joy wearing it was great. I love the simple changes.
I started with ironing the whole. When you change fabric you need it straight ironed.
I ironed bot outside and reversed on the inside.
This is the mazzed glue that I used.
The before :
And The ironed after.
Now repeat the prices when the hluw is in between the two layers and you are almost ready.
The end is sewing the buttons in and it’s done.
Until we read again, Thanks for stopping by,
its appreciated and remember always focus on being creative instead of being bee-zy.

Thrifting clothing is amazing! I have a few thrifted items that I am absolutely in love with. They didn't even need alteration. Your post is making me feel the need to sew something again though!
