Roadkill - mister pheasant is dead
ROADKILL
Today I saw this sad image. It's a #feateredfriend . It's just a dead featheredfriend! A roadkill, unfortunately. It was foggy this morning and probably he was not seen by the car that eventually killed him in the early morning and the thick fog. Sad, but we see it more often. I was with the dogs and had to put them on a leash and lead them around the pheasant so as not to let them eat or sniff the bird. I took some quick pictures for this blog. and I must say I have never been so up close and personal with a pheasant. Pheasant males are more beautiful in terms of plumage and the female pheasants have brown feathers. I've seen more females here than these beautiful colored males. Those red barred eyes and I thought they were quite big, so for me.
Here you see the red eye feathers around the small eyes.
Also the black feathers are like velvet feathers very close together. It is not very damaged, but the feathers are messed up. Normally it is a streamlined whole, but now it is a mess. That's how it might be when you're dead. Thought it was actually pretty sad that you weren't "neat" anymore. I didn't dare touch it or put it further in the roadside because I had the dogs with me.
At the end of the small feathers the white is very distinctive.
The paws on the male, remind me of food I give the dogs. Those are chicken legs and th ey look totally similar. I know for sure they would think : “ thanks mum I love a bite !
”
Again it’s sad, yet all life is a blog on hive.
So I had to take out my phone and make a new #feateredfriends blog about it, and make him blockchain famous after he died.
All I can say is R.I.P mister pheasant,
Fly to the rainbow bridge.
Until we read again, Thanks for stopping by,
its appreciated and remember always focus on being creative instead of being bee-zy.

They are beautiful birds, but I expect a lot die on the roads. We have them around here and they just fly out in front of cars.
Apparently they want to mate and don't see any danger

I'm sorry to hear about the recent incident with Mr. Pheasant and the subsequent feelings of sadness and frustration that you've experienced. It's never easy to come across an animal that has been injured or killed, and it's understandable that this event has had an impact on you.
It's clear from your post that you have a deep appreciation for the natural world and a respect for all forms of life. While it can be difficult to witness the realities of nature, both beautiful and harsh, it's important to recognize the interconnectedness of all living things and to honor the role that each species plays in the ecosystem
I do and I love taking pictures and blogging about it
Poor thing!
