A few things people are doing around Hive!

So the scene seems to be a little quiet right now. Not much is happening, there's not much building, and everyone sits here in quiet anticipation of the halvening.

The halvening is a significant part in the Bitcoin cycle where tokens once again get rarer. They become harder to mine, and harder to get. So if you could mine 10 Bitcoins yearly this year, then next year you'll only be able to mine yourself 5.

This means that everything is about to get considerably more expensive to mine, run and buy. But, that also means that it pushes prices up down in the altcoin sphere also. So all in all we experience a sort of slow growth amidst major fluctuations.

This creates for itself opportunities for new and exciting projects to storm in at the forefront and make a killing -- but be nimble, make sure you go with tried and tested teams or old tokens that have stood the test of time. Those new fancy stuff have yet to prove themselves.

Sometimes it's fun to get in on those nice and shiny APRs right at the beginning, but there's always a cost to high APR and that is coin price. So be careful, and quick, or don't play at all!

In this quiet period there are two projects that have caught my eye.

Subcoin

This is a project that I have been particularly excited about because it doesn't follow the standard norms of crypto; it's a project where you are essentially investing in a slice of album mechanical rights. I've never seen anything like this before, nor do I understand anything about owning any rights - but I trust @stickupboys to make it simple for me. Hive go to my account, wham bam thank you mam.

This also means that it wont follow the traditional path of cryptos either. So you may actually find a lull during the bull market, and a boost during the bear market, or it might just be steady all the way through. Old faithful so to speak.

It's an interesting one, and a system I've been wanting to see on hive engine for so long but no-one has had the oomph to follow through with it. Essentially giving token owners part-ownership of whatever they are doing in the real world. Of course it has to be profitable, I wouldn't recommend people put down something that's just a hobby.

But I like that Subcoin is the first to do this. If it's successful we'll more than likely see a spate of copycats this bull, and subcoin will sediment themselves as the OG token of its genre.

Basically the concept would be to win a stack of hive. There may be 100 hive up for grabs. Each bid is 1 hive and will push the total price up by 0.01 Hive.

I'd suggest that we all play it. It's cheap, and it's fun.

Listen folks, I've known Marky for a while now and he'll make better what he thinks is working. If we give this a shot and not move onto something else quickly he'll more than likely make it bigger and better, and he'll deny that of course, and tell us something objective like that nothing in life is guaranteed, and he's not wrong, but if he realises he's stumbled onto something that keeps Hive folks engaged -- he'll do it.

Marky is probably one of the biggest Hive supporters I've met, and he isn't just in it for the money.

So I mean up to you guys, but I like the concept of winning some nice hive, at the expense of very little. Don't you?
