Here we are again, and what a week it has been in the Crypto world again. Have you all recovered from the shock that has swept through your portfolio yet again with the SEC's latest attacks on our crypto?

I can't say I'm happy when I hear all the news. Gary really goes TOO far. I mean, since the collapse of FTX alone, he has targeted at least 7 other exchanges. With now the latest Binance and Coinbase. Did he really have nothing better to do? Okay, I know... he doesn't think so, and he also thinks he's following the law on this one. And yes, of course… Crypto has always been called the ¨Wild West In The Financial World. However, the big question is… Will it work?

Coinbase is at least ready for a battle with the SEC,

And we can only hope that this will be the last battle Gary will fight! That the SEC can quickly see that the crypto world is not a bogeyman threatening them, but that it is a new branch of the financial world where the future is.

We don't need government approval

If the SEC were to actually gain that insight, it would be very beneficial for crypto in general. But fear not if they don't! As @taskmaster4450 already assures us that crypto does not need government approval to flourish.

While this is entirely true, it will be very beneficial, especially in the short term, if Binance can survive the SEC lawsuit. That's what's getting the most attention right now.

Will Binance survive?

Because as you well know, the SEC is not only after Coinbase at the moment, Binance is also under heavy fire. And if I tell you something new now, it's time you crawled out from under your rock. Incidentally, it does not stop there, because ADA is also already under SEC fire.

Well back to the Binance lawsuit. CZ seems to have a tweeting strategy. The SEC has since filed the charges, and CZ responded with a simple tweet, the number "4". Now you might be thinking, "Why, what's number 4?". For his 8 million followers on Twitter, however, it was a powerful message. And that message means something like, "Ignore the FUD, fake news, ignore all those attacks on crypto, we are strong, and we are here for the community!" ... Easy when you can hide so much message in just one song! It's a genius move, really.

And despite being sued by not one, but two of the top U.S. Finance watchdog, Binance remains unshaken. They stick to their talking points like a broken record, insisting that the SEC is wrong, customer funds are safe (as always), and their attempts to comply with regulations were sabotaged by an uncooperative SEC. It's like a never-ending loop of denial and defiance. But hey, why change your strategy when it has worked so well in the past, right?

So, can Binance continue to thrive amidst all these legal troubles? Who knows! It's a rollercoaster ride, filled with accusations, leaked documents, and internal conversations that reveal a company that's both hilariously inept and ruthlessly ambitious. But hey, in the crypto world, anything goes, right? As long as you have some witty tweets and a disregard for the rules, you might just come out on top. Good luck Binance! You and we all need it.

Ripple's lawsuit drawing to a close

And while the SEC is now throwing the fire at Coinbase and Binance, their lawsuit with Ripple is drawing to a close. And the verdict that comes out of that could well be decisive for the lawsuits with Coinbase and Binance. Most likely that is also the reason why the SEC started these lawsuits NOW.

Should the ruling in the Ripple case be in favor of the SEC, they will certainly use this in their lawsuits with Coinbase and Binance and try to influence the judge to continue to follow the same reasoning.

However, this can also go the other way. If the judge in the Ripple case rules that XRP is NOT security, then the SEC will lose a bunch of grounds for their lawsuits against Coinbase and Binance. To prevent loss of face, they have now fully opened the attack BEFORE the final judgment in the Ripple case is passed.

Coincidence? Or not? The fact is that the judge assigned to the Coinbase case serves on the same court as the judge of the Ripple case. Both are attached to Lower Manhattan Court. It is therefore logical that Judge Reardon will follow the Ripple case very closely, and it is likely that the outcome will agree on many points.

This seems to mean that the Ripple lawsuit, at the end of this long road, has only become more important for the crypto world.

Anti Gary Memecoins take a flight

The crypto community does have an answer to how they feel about Gary. You know that when you see that the Meme coins have once again taken off. With the absolute rising star FKGARY.

Well, humor is always needed, and laughter is often the best medicine for whatever pain you're feeling right now.

So on this sunny Friday, my advice is, try not to worry too much, try to enjoy what you have, the sun (at least it's still free), and try to start your weekend with a smile.

Have a nice Friday!

I'm actually a bit surprised at how well the markets have held up given all the FUD lately. I think in the past we would have seen prices tumble back down to that $16K mark. The fact that we are still holding steady around $26K is quite good. Perhaps it just shows that no one really cares what the US is doing... :)

I think I have to agree with you on this one. And honestly, I wish, our government wouldn´t care what the US is doing. But well, that´s another discussion. As far as crypto goes, I think we all know that we don´t need government approval. Just as Taskmaster said ...

Yeah, this train is chugging down the tracks one way or another. The US is going to wind up sitting here with a whole lotta egg on their face.

I'm certainly curious about what happens to crypto after all these news items appear. I'm not sure if it will have a lasting impact or just short term..
