Get back to work

Good morning on this Friday. After being out of the running for about a week due to some physical problems, I now feel a lot better. And despite the fact that my back does not yet want to cooperate 100% for the heavier work, the pain is no longer so dominant when I want to work behind my PC. Things are going in the right direction, and that made me just want to get back to work, starting with today!

News in the "Land of Crypto"

After all, this is an easy blog to write, plenty is happening every day in the "Land of Crypto". Sometimes not immediately noticeable, sometimes you read news that makes you think, "Nah, was that necessary?". And sometimes your eye catches a message that you want to subject to further investigation. And other times you suddenly see a message that you continue to muse on ... Would it be successful? Would it be for me?

NFTs took the world by storm

I came across a message like this today! We all know that NFTs have taken the world by storm. OpenSea has become big with it, and I can name many other NFT marketplaces. We've all heard of the Crypto Punks. Hell, we even got our own version of the Crypto Punks, brought to Hive by @themarkymark. At the moment I see that the Polygon Punks are still doing well... Everyone is aware of the Bored Apes collection. And so there are many NFT projects to be found.

Instagram enters the world of NFTs

But are the NFTs without a clear use case, which are just a digital work of art, also so popular? To be honest, I've never really looked into it. I do know that many photographers also sell their photos as NFT, and this seems to be going well. With that message in mind, I found it interesting to read that INSTAGRAM will also enter the NFT world from this week.

Starting this week!

It's true, starting this week, Instagram users will be able to mint, sell and buy NFTs through Instagram. That suddenly brings the NFT world to a very large group of potential users. And marks the aspirations of Mark Zuckerberg his META well. Finally, Instagram also falls under the parent company META. You can also ask yourself where it should go next, and you can ask yourself whether NFTs are going to be a rescue for Instagram. Because last July, Instagram reported a drop in sales for the first time in its history. And that has a lot to do with TikTok. People are flocking from Instagram to TikTok. Of course, the advertisers also go along with the people ... Could Instagram's change of course be a rescue?

Will this be succesful?

That's something we'll have to wait awhile to find out. If I think logically, there are many beautiful photos and videos on Instagram, only unfortunately there is more crap to be found. And the average Instagram user, in my opinion, is not yet the average crypto user. So whether there will really be much use of the NFT function on Instagram, that is still doubtful. That won't be immediately clear either, but in a few months I will definitely look back and try to find some numbers. It might be interesting.

Elon Musk's idolization is in full swing, or not?

Furthermore, another conversation of the day, now more than a week, is what Elon Musk will do with Twitter. The first upcoming change has already become apparent and is causing quite a stir. $8 a month for a blue check. Well, that Twitter will have to generate income is of course clear to everyone ... that you can also reduce bots and scams in this way I think it is also true, but ... Who suddenly wants to pay 8 dollars a month for a social network?

The bird is freed, ... for $8 a month

It's been quite a buzzword on Twitter, and I had a serious laugh when I saw a tweet from @girlgonecrypto come. In my view she is absolutely right in her words. The energy that goes into Elon Musk, the many ways people try to get his attention, half of them absolutely love him and treat him almost like a God. The other half doesn't trust it all and thinks he's more of a demon. Anyway, there is so much energy going into it… that if only 1% of that energy were going to go into finding solutions to the many problems facing the world these days. That we could suddenly find solutions.

What are your thoughts about him owning Twitter now?

By the way, I am now curious about what you think about the fact that Elon Musk bought Twitter? I personally have never been so attracted to Elon Musk for several reasons. One of the things I don't like about him is the fact that he has abused his influence before, he's all too aware of what he can accomplish with a single tweet. He manipulates, and does so consciously. He knows all too well that if he expresses himself in a somewhat cryptic way about an integration of Doge into Twitter, it will send Doge's price skyrocketing. That suits him personally, of course. I'm not too sure whether it will suit most of the buyers.

To each his own!

For example, I often see tweets from him that come across as quite manipulative in one way or another, and the reactions are sometimes cringe-inducing. People who kind of crawl through the dust just to get his attention … whether for themselves or for their project. I honestly can't get my head around it. Anyway, let's just say… To each his own!

Crypto is looking pretty green!

But luckily, the crypto price still looks pretty green… and that should give you a good feeling now that the weekend is knocking on your door.

Enjoy your weekend everyone! And I'll see you again soon (with some news about BRO)!
