Land Has Arrived to the BROs!!
Hey all. As you all know we had a tract in waiting for the last year. Big shout out to @neoxian who held it for us when he got it in the crowdsale. Lands sold out super fast back then!
Anyway. We received it today and it's surveyed and ready to start work. Here's a picture of our tract:
We are the one on the red and are part of the Whittacer region. Number 72. I think you wanted to know this earlier in one of our discussions @azircon. We received it today and I've fully surveyed our map.
We have 12 Magic plots, 5 occupied, and 1 Keep. The rest are natural. Not hugely sure what all this means yet but I will go over the documentation heavily tomorrow morning.
We opened up 2 Legendary plots. I expect the Keep was legendary by default.
And 4 epic plots
We managed to get over 20 rares. That would be a big screenshot so I assume you get the idea.
This means that I can start putting the cards that I don't use to work in our lands right now if I wanted to and mine sps or farm grain. Of course there are actually rules to this but tonight it's late and I'm going to have a good look over this tomorrow and get to work.
Reward Structure
We've waited quite a while for this one so I'm excited to see it materialise.
I have no idea how much we will make in the beginning. I know that there will be more to surface in the later versions of the lands but here is a rough idea of what I would like to do, but this is subject to change.
At the beginning it will work something like this:
We'll try out sps mining and the reward structure will go something like this:
- 40% to stake for competitions, guild matches, airdrops et al.
- 30% given out as dividends to BRO holders
- 30% to me
If the rewards are not that much at the beginning then I will just compound the sps for when everything starts to heat up and we have something significant to reward everyone with daily.
We are also part of the Guild of Neoxian which is a top tier guild in Splinterlands and we will be helping them out regularly as they will help us out.

Some questions. How many lands exists? How many dividends can holders expect and how often ?
We have 100 plots of land of varying degrees of rarity. As for the whole game I'm unsure.
Unsure right now. I'll have to see what's on the table once I hook everything up.
There are things that I can do though. Like I own a keep which means I can set the taxes for the entire tract space. So for example if I rented out 40 plots of land I can also get taxes over and above the rental price.
It's all in the air right now. I'm still studying it, but I'll update you when I know more.

I think it's going to be a couple months yet until anyone gets anything with land. This is Land 1.0, which was the surveying. Now everyone knows what they have. Land 1.5 will introduce the card-staking and "working" of the land, which is supposed to happen by the end of Q2. At that point there will only be a few options. All "natural" lands will produce Grain as it will be the only resource available at that point. Magical lands will be able to put their production points towards researching "The Secret of Praetoria". Occupied lands will be able to mine SPS. I believe that's all you'll be able to do until land 2.0 comes out hopefully by the end of the year. You'll also be "clearing" the land to build the building that can go on each plot. In the meantime, mining SPS will obviously generate "revenue" and the grain will be able to be sold, although you will need some of that to "feed" your workers (staked cards) at some point. So, while moving forward, there's still a long way to go before these can start generating significant income.

Look at you with the mythic popping up. All of my stuff was common. Quite the let down for as much as I have invested.
It was a standard tract plot. These things were what everyone with a tract got :)
