I love movies, but especially the genre of horror, suspense, paranormal or supernatural, and one of the films that fits these three characteristics is The Exorcism of God and as this time in Cine TV Contest # 67 - Favorite Suspense Movie we are urged to talk about a film in which the suspense is the central theme and this one has no waste in this regard.

This is a film, where I must say it has an origin and collaboration between several countries Venezuela, Mexico and the United States, achieving a unique setting, between its actors and environments, capturing the idiosyncrasies, culture of these people giving a touch of mystery to the whole plot, released in the year 2022 recently, managing to capture the attention in the different scenarios in which it was presented, by the impressive scenes full of suspense, mystery and paranormal events; Directed by the director Alejandro Hidalgo, who staged a scenario full of visual impact in each of its scenes, generating a shocking suspense in each of them.

It all begins when the protagonist, Father Peter Williams (Will Beinbrink), is called to a town where the children of the village become mysteriously ill, revealing behind him a mystery that has accompanied him since his early years as a priest and that has tormented him all his ecclesiastical life, for a sin he committed many years ago... In the course of the film it becomes clear where the misfortunes of the people come from and it is because of the possession of a young woman to whom all these strange and supernatural events are attributed.

Father Peter, along with another priest friend, who is a consecrated exorcist, accompanies him on this journey of liberation of this young woman, who is in the town jail; the parents from the beginning are with horrifying scenes where they can see how the manifestations of the devil are present, taking the images of Jesus Crucified and the Virgin Mary grotesquely. I must confess that in these scenes that take place in the jail and the town's hospital, I jumped out of my seat, I was not expecting such terrifying scenes, they were some of my favorites.

There is one in particular where one of the nuns in the hospital who cared for the sick children, was confronted by one of these horrible "forms" of the Virgin Mary, where, she wanted to eliminate the terrified nun in the middle of her prayers, to finish killing the sick children who were innocently delirious in their beds. In this scene, the little nun struggled like the good ones, until almost at the end of her last strength the parents came to her rescue. The prevailing suspense could be felt in the atmosphere. I could already see myself shouting at the poor nun to defend herself, I think I actually did it, ha ha ha ha ha.

But what left me most in suspense was the ending; the main father, Peter, finished performing the exorcism by himself, as his companion died in the course of the fight against these dark forces. It turned out to be father Peter, father of the girl, remember what tormented him, well she was the result... in the end the father was somehow touched by that demon, ending up as he did not want, compromised..., his daughter was free of that but with something "special" in her, leaving us the viewers wondering what, ha, ha, ha, leaving a trail of suspense in the air.

That is why it is my favorite movie in terms of this characteristic that floods it, the suspense, I recommend it, if you want to be from surprise to surprise, in expectation, biting your nails or in the best of cases, covered up to the chin with your favorite blanket, enjoy it!

Me encanta el cine, pero sobre todo el género de terror, suspenso, paranormal o sobrenatural, y una de las películas que se ajusta a estas tres características es El Exorcismo de Dios y como esta vez en Cine TV Concurso # 67 - Película de Suspenso Favorita nos urge hablar de una película en la que el suspenso sea el tema central y esta no tiene desperdicio en este aspecto.

Esta es una película, donde debo decir que tiene un origen y colaboración entre varios países Venezuela, México y Estados Unidos, logrando una ambientación única, entre sus actores y ambientes, captando la idiosincrasia, cultura de estos pueblos dándole un toque de misterio a toda la trama, estrenada en el año 2022 recientemente, logrando captar la atención en los diferentes escenarios en los que se presentó, por las impresionantes escenas llenas de suspenso, misterio y sucesos paranormales; Dirigida por el director Alejandro Hidalgo, quien montó un escenario lleno de impacto visual en cada una de sus escenas, generando un suspenso impactante en cada una de ellas.

Todo comienza cuando el protagonista, el Padre Peter Williams (Will Beinbrink), es llamado a un pueblo donde los niños de la aldea enferman misteriosamente, revelando tras de sí un misterio que lo ha acompañado desde sus primeros años como sacerdote y que lo ha atormentado toda su vida eclesiástica, por un pecado que cometió hace muchos años.... En el transcurso de la película queda claro de dónde vienen las desgracias del pueblo y es por la posesión de una joven a la que se le atribuyen todos estos sucesos extraños y sobrenaturales.

El Padre Peter, junto con otro amigo sacerdote, que es un exorcista consagrado, le acompaña en este viaje de liberación de esta joven, que se encuentra en la cárcel del pueblo; los padres desde el principio se encuentran con escenas espeluznantes donde pueden ver como las manifestaciones del demonio se hacen presentes, tomando las imágenes de Jesús Crucificado y la Virgen María de forma grotesca. Debo confesar que en estas escenas que se desarrollan en la cárcel y en el hospital del pueblo, salté de mi asiento, no esperaba escenas tan terroríficas, fueron de mis favoritas.

Hay una en particular donde una de las monjas del hospital que cuidaba a los niños enfermos, se enfrentó a una de estas horribles "formas" de la Virgen María, donde, quiso eliminar a la aterrorizada monja en medio de sus rezos, para terminar de matar a los niños enfermos que inocentemente deliraban en sus camas. En esta escena, la monjita luchó como las buenas, hasta que casi al final de sus últimas fuerzas los padres acudieron en su rescate. El suspense reinante se palpaba en el ambiente. Ya me veía gritando a la pobre monja para que se defendiera, creo que de hecho lo hice, ja ja ja ja.

Pero lo que más me dejó en suspense fue el final; el padre protagonista, Peter, terminó de realizar el exorcismo él solo, ya que su compañero murió en el transcurso de la lucha contra esas fuerzas oscuras. Resultó ser el padre Peter, padre de la niña, recuerdan lo que lo atormentaba, bueno ella fue el resultado... al final el padre de alguna manera fue tocado por ese demonio, terminando como él no quería, comprometido..., su hija quedó libre de eso pero con algo "especial" en ella, dejándonos a los espectadores preguntándonos qué, ja, ja, ja, dejando una estela de suspenso en el aire.

Por eso es mi película favorita en cuanto a esta característica que la inunda, el suspenso, se las recomiendo, si quieren estar de sorpresa en sorpresa, a la expectativa, mordiéndose las uñas o en el mejor de los casos, tapados hasta la barbilla con su cobija favorita, disfrútenla.
