English

One of the characteristics that have been in my personality is that of impulsiveness, accompanied by impatience, imagine that duo, not good at all. When I was younger it was extremely difficult for me to control my emotions, because I have not been a person of half measures, that is, either one thing is one way or the other... but not in an intermediate way; then imagine my great struggle with myself throughout my life, it has not been easy, but time and experiences are great "educators" very wise and have helped me to see things in different ways, because there is everything in the vineyard of the Lord...

I learned, by means of not very pleasant experiences that not everything can be in the time and in the measure that I wanted, that everything has its reason of being, that sometimes it is necessary to wait for the time, the occasion to act or to say things and that one wins more with honey than with gall, that it is necessary to learn to really hear and not what we believe to hear; sometimes it is better to let others speak and express themselves and then you take the floor if you consider it necessary, if it is appropriate or not, if you do not feel able to master your possible frustration or anger it is better to let that moment pass and speak when you are in control of you.

Another thing I learned and because I followed my mother's advice, when a person is under the influence of alcohol, even if it is mild, it is preferable not to engage in discussions with her, because these tend to get out of control. Do you find yourself in a situation where alcohol is involved, it is preferable to play crazy and the next day to resume the conversation or discussion, I assure you, you will avoid many bad moments, where usually the ugliest emotions are the protagonists. We must know how to choose our fights, that is important.

And one of my main recommendations is to know what triggers your impulsivity, your uncontrolled emotions, in my case impatience and that is why I have tried to work twice as hard on it and that has helped me to curb those impulses, which in the past made me go through many bad experiences. But just as I tell you one thing, I also tell you another, it is important sometimes to let the impulses come out or happen, because they can save you from even risky situations, for example, once when I was starting to look for a job, as a young girl, I went to a job interview.

At that time you looked for a job through the newspaper ads and you would show up at the address where you were being summoned, my appointment was in Chacaito, a place in Caracas where there are a lot of buildings. The person in charge of the place was going to wait for me in a nearby boulevard and then he would take me exactly where the place where I was going to work was (that was the agreement over the phone). The man, a guy a little older than me was waiting for me, he looked quite nice, but, even so, I was suspicious, there was something in the situation, which did not convince me, but I wanted to work so I went with him, we went to an apartment building, I found it curious and my alarms went off...

When he opened the door of one of these apartments, he urged me to enter, there were machines and so on, so I entered, but with some distrust, I stayed near the door, he began to talk, but suddenly he came at me, and when he wanted to grab me that movement had already anticipated it, taking me away and by reflex I began to scream like crazy, running out of that place. ..., that survival impulse saved me perhaps from a worse end, that is why you also have to know how to choose when to let out these emotions accompanied by self-defense, because there are situations of situations...

But in general terms, my recommendations are: know what makes you get out of control and work on it, because you dominate what disturbs you and does not let you be, and with that you have half the battle won over your emotions, another is to breathe and wait for the best time you can respond, if there is alcohol in the middle do not argue, avoid it, hear your sixth sense when something does not seem right, so you do not have to act and have a situation out of your control and, therefore, you are affected in your emotions and feelings.

Attending to the invitation of my beautiful friend @actioncats, I join the new proposal of my friend @damarysvibra, which you will see in the following link. I also invite my friends @evev and @popurri; it was a pleasure to share as always with all of you, greetings!
