My Reunion on the beach (En/ Es)

Since I retired, from time to time I have sought to reconnect with my old work friends, who are also retired or who for some reason have retired from the workplace to other areas, then between all of us we are always trying to arrange to meet again over time, always trying to maintain communication by different means, calls, WhatsApp, Facebook; We always try to maintain communication through different means, calls, WhatsApp, Facebook, and so on until we manage to get together, because our different agendas, which are somewhat complicated in our different occupations, it is quite difficult to make them coincide; so it has been a challenge to meet again, but thank God, we have managed to do it over the years.

On this occasion, we decided to meet again in a different space than the ones we had already arranged, such as in the home of one of us, restaurants, cafes or parks. This time we decided to go to the beach. We organized ourselves and between all of us, my friends and some of my friends' husbands, we joined forces, ha, ha, ha, ha, as we say around here and we arranged everything and we left. On this trip to the coast of my country, we went from the city (Caracas, Venezuela) to the coast of Vargas, in a convertible van; I must confess that I had not done this since I was a child, ha, ha, ha, ha.

It was quite an odyssey to get in the back of that van, ha, ha, ha, ha, it was an experience apart, I loved it. Nothing like feeling the sea air on your face, smelling that smell of salt and fish, it makes you feel free and among friends, it's the best. We had two children with us, a baby in arms and a 5 year old, so we went to a beach without a lot of waves; they were well protected in the cab of the van with their mom and grandmother. When we arrived we looked for a place where we were all comfortable, where we could interact without complications; we arrived early in the morning until the afternoon hours.

We had a great day, where we caught up on our lives, shared a little bit of everything, food, drinks, but most of all lots of smiles. That was the most enjoyable part of the day. We reconnected again, as if it had only been a day without seeing each other, the affection, the friendship was "showered" of empathy, love, from there we left reconnected, with a stroke of positive energy, light, color, grateful to have experienced something different and best of all among friends, because with those with whom I have less years of friendship we have 16 years knowing each other, in this group there was no one just met; even my friend with whom I had more years of friendship, was 28 years old; a lifetime. So imagine what it means to be able to see all of us in the same place, quite an achievement.

My beautiful friends are Adelaida, 16 years of friendship, Nancy, 28 years of friendship, Paulina, mother of the babies, 16 years of friendship, Estela, mother of Paulina, 8 years of friendship and the husbands who took us and helped us to move to that beautiful beach. It was a day to remember and that is why I wanted to perpetuate it by sharing it with all of you, long live the friendships that caress our hearts!

Desde que salí jubilada, de vez en cuando he buscado de reencontrarme con mis antiguas amigas del trabajo, que ya también están jubiladas o que por algún motivo se han retirado del área laboral hacia otros espacios, entonces entre todas siempre estamos pendientes de cuadrar para reencontrarnos a través del tiempo, tratando siempre de mantener la comunicación por diferentes vías, llamadas, WhatsApp, Facebook; así hasta lograr concretar el poder reunirnos todas, pues nuestras diferentes agendas, que son algo complicadas en nuestras diferentes ocupaciones es bastante difícil hacerlas coincidir; entonces ha sido un reto poder reencontrarnos, pero gracias a Dios, lo hemos logrado a lo largo de los años.

En esta ocasión, decidimos reencontrarnos en otro espacio diferente a los que ya habíamos concertado, como en casa de alguna de nosotras, restaurantes, cafés o parques. Esta vez decidimos irnos para la playa. Nos organizamos y entre todos, mis amigas y algunos de los esposos de mis amigas, unimos fuerzas, ja, ja, ja, como decimos por aquí y arreglamos todo y nos fuimos. En este viaje hacia el litoral de mi país, nos fuimos desde la ciudad (Caracas, Venezuela) hacia el litoral varguense, en una camioneta descapotable; debo confesar que desde niña no hacía esto, ja, ja, ja.

Fue toda una odisea subirme en la parte trasera de esa camioneta, ja, ja, ja, fue toda una experiencia aparte, me encantó. Nada como sentir el aire marino en el rostro, oler ese olor a sal a peces, hace que te sientas libre y entre amigos, es lo mejor. Llevábamos dos niños, un bebé de brazos y uno de 5 años, así que fuimos a una playa sin mucho oleaje; ellos iban bien protegidos en la cabina de la camioneta junto a su mamá y abuela. Al llegar buscamos un lugar donde todos estuviéramos cómodos, donde pudiéramos interactuar sin complicaciones; llegamos temprano en la mañana hasta las horas de la tarde.

Pasamos un día genial, donde nos pusimos al corriente de nuestras vidas, compartimos de todo un poco, comida, bebidas, pero sobre todo muchas sonrisas. Eso fue lo más agradable del día. Nos volvimos a reconectar, como si solo hubiese pasado un día sin vernos, el cariño, la amistad se "regó" de empatía, amor, de allí salimos reconectadas, con un golpe de energía positiva, de luz, de color, agradecidos de poder haber vivido algo diferente y lo mejor de todo entre amigos, pues con las que menos años de amistad tengo tenemos 16 años conociéndonos, en este grupo no había nadie recién conocido; incluso mi amiga con la cual más años de amistad, tenía era de 28 años; toda una vida. Entonces imagínese lo que significa el poder vernos a todas en un mismo sitio, todo un logro.

Mis lindas amigas se llaman Adelaida, 16 años de amistad, Nancy, 28 años de amistad, Paulina, madre de los bebés, 16 años de amistad, Estela, madre de Paulina, 8 años de amistad y los esposos que nos llevaron y ayudaron que nos ayudaron a trasladarnos hasta aquella bella playa. Fue un día que quedó para el recuerdo y por eso quise perpetuarlo compartiéndolo con todos ustedes. ¡Que vivan las amistades que nos acarician el corazón!
