. Warm greetings #HiveDiy friends, happy and blessed day to all who make life in this wonderful community. On the occasion of October 12 "Day of Indigenous Resistance" it occurred to me to make a drawing to commemorate this important date in which our ancestors were attacked, mistreated and vexed by the colonizers.

I like to draw, although I do not consider myself an expert in this art like other people who make beautiful works of art, I remember that since I was little I called my attention to make drawings, my first drawings were faces and eyes, I was in second grade and I was 7 years old, in my notebooks there were always all kinds of faces and eyes, it was like an obsession for me. I also remember that I used to make drawings for my older sister when I was 9 years old and she was 14, they were very cute because I like to draw like a caricature.

I made this drawing to decorate a room and decorate the bulletin board, I could not publish it on Wednesday October 12 because due to the heavy rains that are hitting my country I did not have connection to make my publication, God grant that these strong storms cease once and for all because there have been natural disasters that have mourned my country.

To make the drawing of this beautiful indigenous I did not use a lot of material, I only used fomai recycling sheets and colored cardboard, I had the materials at home, these were left over from another work I did some time ago. Now yes, we start with this beautiful work of today, which I am still not sure whether to paste it on the bulletin board or use it as a decorative painting in the living room.

Materials:

.

  • Black permanent marker
  • Foami or colored rubber
  • Recycling sheets
  • Green cardboard
  • Blue cardboard
  • Cold glue
  • Colors
  • Scissors
  • Pencil
  • Chalk

Step by step of the drawing process

To make the drawing I took four sheets of recycled paper and joined them together with cold silicone, then I drew the Indian with a graphite pencil in the center of the paper.

Outline the drawing with black permanent marker, then cut it out. The body of the Indian is painted starting with the face and finally the body is painted using brown chalk. Briefly I tell you the story of this chalk, a girl gave it to me two years ago and a 91 year old lady gave it to her when the girl went to visit her mother in the city of Caracas. The girl told me that the chalks came in a little wooden box. For me these chalks are a treasure that I use only a few times, imagine how old they are!!! it is divine to paint, with just a little bit the drawing is well loaded with color, which means that before things were of better quality, because the chalks that I buy at this time do not paint as well as this chalk that my little girl gave me.

Here is a picture of my chalks, the best in the world, at least for me, they have an immense sentimental value in my life.

.

  • After coloring the body with brown chalk paint the mouth and eyes black.
  • Transfer the hair shape in black foami, then cut out and glue with cold silicone.
  • Paint the tongue in red color and the loincloth or guayuco as well.

  • Paint the eyes in honey color
  • Place a gold frosted foami ribbon on the guayuco loincloth.
  • Glue a red ribbon on the wrists as decoration.

  • Decorate the cheeks with the colors of the Venezuelan flag using yellow, blue and red foami.
  • Place a collar around the neck and cut out yellow foami in the shape of a feather and glue it to the chest.
  • Also cut out a red ribbon and glue it in the hair.

  • Cut out the shape of two bushes in green colored cardboard and glue them on a blue colored cardboard, then outline with black marker the shape of the bushes.
  • Then glue the Indian on the bushes.
  • To make the arrow cut out a brown foami ribbon and to create the tip of the arrow I used the aluminum foil wrapper that comes with the butter, cut it out and gave it the shape of an arrowhead.
  • Then glue it with silicone and decorate with gold foami.

FINAL RESULT

For decoration I glued colorful flowers on the bushes and a white dove flying across the blue sky, I hope you like it.
See you next time friends
