Being Different Can Be Hard...

_{Two roads could be similar, but they lead to different destinations.}

We’ve all either talked about or heard people talk about the advantages of being unique. No matter what we’re doing, we have to be as unique as possible, we must be willing to put in the extra effort that will be required so we will have nothing short of our very best.

Being unique is basically you doing something that everyone else is doing but in a different way. In a way that would be known only to you. Being unique does not necessarily reinvent the wheel, what it does is to find new ways to spin it. Doing the same job, but just differently.

And this is what makes it so sweet, because we all are unique, even though we are all the same humans. While we all have the same body parts and the number of limbs and heads, we are still different. We are differentiated by our thoughts, background, characters, likes, and dislikes… all these go into making each person a completely different person from any other one. Even to the point where two people with similar characteristics could go through the same environmental conditions, and they would come up with two results.

Our uniqueness is what gives us our identity, it’s what sets us apart and when people hear of our traits, they will know that it is up. Take for instance the four network providers in the country at the moment, all of them are doing the same thing, but they have their individual strengths and weaknesses which everyone who hopes to be a user must know is what sets them apart.

This is why we should try as much as possible to avoid copying other people or trying to put ourselves down just so others can shine, or even worse, trying to appear in some way to some people because we don’t want them to see who we are for real.

The thing is, when we try to hide what sets us apart from others, what makes us different and better, we commit a great disservice to ourselves. There is so much we can achieve, and so many things that can be done, but we make the huge mistake of trying to be like everyone else. And what that does is to kill our dreams and even when we end up putting it out there, people won’t see us in them. They will see the made-up version or the person we were trying so hard to copy.

And trust me when I say this, no one likes a knockoff.

Nothing in life comes easy, I know this very well. So trying to be different and creating your own brand and voice might be extremely hard. But none of that makes it impossible, as a matter of fact, it can never be impossible.

It will take time, but we have to be willing to give that time an effort, I can assure you that once that is done, you’ll be happy you did. All over the world, there will be people who will come to you for what you can give specifically. It won’t matter if a billion others in the world are giving the same thing, as long as you’ve been able to hone your unique nature, then you’ll always have them banging at your door for more.

I know this won’t come easily, but we have to start giving serious consideration to just how unique we are.
