Family Shenanegans!!!
Omo… just last night, I found myself almost crying for how wicked some people can be to their fellows. Especially those who are at a disadvantage, or who have to rely on them for one thing or another. Because once certain people have certain leverage over you, they’d always see it as a reason to act out and treat you like you don’t matter. And what’s even more heartbreaking is that these are things that shouldn’t be expected from family members.
This is why one of the best things I’m always grateful for is contentment. I’m also grateful that I was raised by parents who loved me and people who actually wanted to see me prosper. Because out there, the world is crazy. People are moving mad, and in all honesty, you can’t trust anyone else to take care of family the way you’d take care of them.
Anything worth doing is worth doing well. If you know you can’t see something through, then don’t bother starting it at all. That’s a fact. However, people will always want to look good and look like they care, but indoors, they’re just evil and wicked. They’ll take in family members that they have no intention of taking care of, knowing that having them financially dependent will place them solely in their power. As in, they won’t help you find stability so you can be independent, but they’ll keep berating you for depending on them. It’s crazy.
I’ve already spoken about one of my neighbors who took in a young man. They’re related by blood, but one of those extended family type things. The last time I made the post, it was about how the couple allowed their teenage son to speak to the full-grown man, calling him names and asking him to go and meet his late father. It was heartbreaking. And it was also happening in the middle of the night, so their voices were loud and could be heard all over the street.
Well, something similar happened again last night. This time, the young man came home from work around 10, which wasn’t even too late. The issue was that he was locked out of the house. This guy knocked and knocked, he called the names of every single person in the house to come open the door, and he tried all their phones. He was totally ignored. Mind you, he could clearly see that they were all inside. So, it’s not like they were sleeping.
They left this man outside for more than an hour; by then, he was screaming the whole compound, banging on the door, and it looked like he was going to break it down. Yet, all of them remained resolute. They kept quiet as if he were bringing the police to their house. All the guy wanted was to be allowed in after a long day at work. As in, I could hear the tears in his voice as he called their names, asking them to let him in.
Around midnight, we got fed up with everything because the guy was making a lot of noise, and at that time of the night, it could be really dangerous. My mom and I had to step out, and we were ready to invite him into our home just to spend the night, so he could handle the issue in the morning. However, the moment we started speaking, we heard doors from other flats open as well, and people were poking their heads out. And it was at that point that the locked doors finally opened. That was when the young man’s family decided to let him in, just so that he wouldn’t sleep elsewhere and the people wouldn’t see them as bad people. As if the harm hadn’t been done already.
I say this again, there are people that we should never be dependent on, because they’d make life a living hell for you. Imagine coming home from a long day at work and finding yourself locked out of the house. And you can’t even do anything because you don’t pay for anything in the house. You’re only squatting there, and as a result, you have to stomach whatever rubbish they give to you.
Honestly, to be under anyone is not easy. This is just a reinforcement for why I need to work hard and make this bank, because I don’t want my child to be raised by someone else, because I can’t afford to do it. Also, I’m taking special care of my health because the last thing I want is to fall ill and die, leaving my child to people who will just treat them like crap.
Today is Sunday, the family will dress up and go to church, smiling as if they’re the perfect candidates for heaven. But we know that just last night, they almost let their family member sleep outside.

I think the man should move out from the place. I know he may have many issues but everything can be solved if he can make the decision to move out. To be honest I also don't want my child in the house of other people even if it's the place of my close relatives.
Omo... he would very much like to leave, but he can't afford it at the moment. Rent here is too expensive, and all the money he makes goes into daily upkeep. It's just frustrating.
