Hello Hivers, how is it going for you all?

It’s a brand new week and I hope we are going into it hoping for an eventful one.

And on this day, we celebrate a special day unique to writers all over the world. It’s the ‘I Love To Write Day’! A day that is set aside on this day every year to celebrate writers all over the world. And what better place to do so than here on Hive, where almost everyone is a writer of one sort or the other.

Now this day was set aside in 2002 by an author from Delaware called John Riddle, he had written over 34 books and lots of articles. He had such a passion for writing and it could be seen in his works. And he had this belief that anyone could be a writer and a good one at that. And that was why he set this day aside.

So that everyone could spend some time writing, it didn’t matter what they were writing about, as long as they were doing it just because they wanted to. He believed that a day like this could be the start of the career of the next bestselling author. It was a beautiful idea, and one that has come down over the years to become an important part of a writer’s history.

And writing is so important to everyone. It helps to improve our communication skills, it also helps in how we express our ideas. And it helps in our language skills because the more you write the more you learn. What’s more? It helps us in our knowledge, as you write about a particular topic, whatever at all it may be, you find yourself learning more and more about it. A perfect example of practice makes perfect.

And now, in today’s world, almost everyone is a writer. Thanks to social media, we write almost all the time. We write on our Facebook posts, Instagram, and Twitter posts, all these are writings of some sort that we do without fully acknowledging them. And then we have professional writers for blogs, magazines, newspapers, and the likes.

The thing is that we seem to relegate writing to just a select few, thinking that it’s only for a particular kind of people. But thanks to social media, a lot of people have become writers even without realizing it.

And let me bring it to Hive, where I’m pretty sure over ninety percent of us are writers. We write about the most complex and mundane things and we feel free to post them here because we are sure there will be readers for every kind of post.

The Hive blockchain has assisted so many people in their journeys to become writers and today a lot of them have made remarkable improvements. Isn’t this the dream John riddle had when he set this day aside? How just about anyone can write something and have people not just read it but enjoy it as well? Oh yeah!

And so, if you are reading this article, try to set aside a few minutes just to write something. It doesn’t have to be voluminous and full of complex words. It can be about anything at all; like your hobbies, your day, your job, anything at all that you find worthy enough to pen down. And I assure you, that no matter how boring you feel your writing might be, there will always be that one person who would enjoy it immensely.

And that, my dear friends, is the dream of every writer.

And then, while you are at it read the work of someone else and give nice feedback. It will go a long way in boosting the person’s morale. We will find that when we do these little things, finding fulfillment would not be such a difficult thing to achieve.

Thank you very much for reading this, my friends. If you went this far it means you found it engaging and I’m grateful for that.

And from the bottom of my heart, I’m wishing the entire Hive Community a happy ‘I Love to Write Day’!!!
