Yet Another Monday!!!

Another Monday is here again, just like the first day of the year. And just thinking of all the work and stress that the coming week has to offer, I’m already tired in advance. Right now, as I’m looking out my window and seeing the harsh sunlight shining like no man’s business and heating up the world, I’m dreading that moment when I would have to step out and go to school.

At this point, my days are almost always the same. I no longer have the time to be spontaneous or do other things that help me. By this time last year, I was almost done writing my first book and was already making plans to send it off to beta readers. But now, I barely have time for the little I am even doing. My plan for this year was to publish two books but at this rate, I don’t know if that will still be possible.

But then, no matter how tight and choked up my Mondays are, I always try my best to go through them on a good note. Because whether we like it or not, Monday is the first day of the week, it’s also the first business day of the week. I’m a big believer that how you start something will ripple through and decide the course of the rest of the week.

It’s the same way that how you begin the month or year will determine how some things will turn out for you. That’s why despite how I feel about Mondays, I’m always happy to get new deals and talk shop because I know that the rest of the week will follow up in that regard. And then, I also try to go to school on Mondays as well, because if I start off the week being lazy, my schooling for that week will be affected.

And these days, it’s so easy to be distracted. It’s as if now that I’m in my finals and I’m almost done with this race, that’s when this spirit of laziness wants to set in. Or, is it because I have so much to lose now? Many times, I just don’t feel like getting up to go to school, and then I purposely go late, because why not? That’s how last week Monday was for me and in the end, I ended up skipping school twice.

Anyway, all that is not what I’m here to talk about. It’s a new week, and despite the fact that I’d very much prefer it to be a weekend, I’m choosing to work with what I have. I’ll rise and shine as the day demands and answer to my duty. I’ll do my work and go to school as required of me. I know I said that I was already feeling tired in advance of the week, but that doesn’t mean I’ll let it go past me without doing something significant. Despite everything, by the end of today, I’d have achieved everything I wanted.
