Náměstí s kostelem sv. Matěje je středobodem města. Z kostelní věže si můžete prohlédnout město z výšky.

Nesmím zapomenou na schody od řeky Lužnice do města. Jejich zdolání je slušný sportovní výkon. Asi 40-ti metrové převýšení si totiž vyžádá zdolání 217-ti schodů.
I mustn't forget the stairs from the Lužnice river to the city. Defeating them is a decent sporting feat. An elevation of about 40 meters requires climbing 217 steps.
Po takové námaze se můžete občerstvit a osvěžit v restauraci pivovaru Keras a ochutnat pivo, které zde vaří :-)
After such an effort, you can refresh yourself in the restaurant of the Keras brewery and taste the beer they brew here :-)
Až budete někdy v jižních Čechách, určitě si udělejte čas k návštěvě města.

Now I'm a little regretting that I didn't also take pictures of the villas of entrepreneurs from the beginning of the twentieth century. At least three are definitely worth watching.
The cobbled side streets breathe a special atmosphere and remind of past glory.
Beer from the Keras brewery is really an excellent reward for the effort associated with walking around the city and climbing 217 steps :-)
