Buezor is Alive

Have you ever been so excited you just can't keep it in?, especially after promising yourself that you won't go about blabbing about your wins. Well if you haven't then know this secret. There is no way you can keep it in no matter how hard you try.

Ha ha, ok so in 2015 I passed an exam that would allow me gain admission into college. It wasn't a big deal to some geniuses, who aced theirs at the first go. I didn't, I had written it in 2014 and failed in maths. But I gave it another go and boy it was the best result I could ever think of. When I saw the results at first, I knew I would pass but I wasn't expecting that much A's. So I hid my joy and just promised I won't tell anyone except my mum. God knows she'd break my head if I don't tell her ha ha.

But I couldn't keep it in at last I ended up telling not even my mum first, but the bus driver on my way home just few minutes after I checked the results. Ok, after that I ran straight to my friends place and till date I've never been so excited in my life. Maybe I'll have that same feeling when I get married ha ha, I could easily visualize it right now and it still bring back some atom of joy. I said to my friend "I made it, I'm going the the University of Port Harcourt". I haven't even gotten admission yet.

Life for me is like a tidal wave. You know, ups and downs and all the other noise that follows it. Well I got into college and my first year was a little bit hectic, naa!! it was so hectic I got ill because of stress sometimes. But I pulled through. In my second year however tragedy struck. I lost my mum. And I was lost also for a time. It affected my grades. Because most of the drive I got to keep moving was from my mum. My dad wasn't always around as a service man, he seldom visit home. So I managed to get myself together, thank goodness I didn't get an F or its equivalent.

Then I went for internship. It felt like rehab. I met new people with different ideologies and lifestyles. I even learnt more about the cause of my mum's death. Sometimes I wish I was learned already maybe things would have been different.

So, enough of sad stories, well I finished college with a blast. No extra year. I started working as a teacher assistant then I left after two months and worked as a baker thanks to my uncle for teaching me. I also left. I think was finding my niche. Then I went on a compulsory national service.

I'm still serving incase you're wondering. The training was tough but then it was all good at the end. I met @dwixer who then introduced me to hive. A big part of the reason I joined Hive was to have a purpose. I needed something to keep me busy and yes it had to be something I love.

So, if you ask me what makes me alive. Well my answer is simple. Being able to do everything I want makes me alive. I also joined Hive in my pursuit of financial freedom. I think with hive I can horne my skills in writing and get a job from it after my service year. My goal is not just to afford all the necessary things I want, but also to be able to cater for my brothers and my dad.

So this is me trying to be the best version of myself. I know I am because I'm being productive and making efforts to change my situation to my taste. If I was asked in 2014, Buezor, do you think you'll become a microbiologist and a blogger as well, I think I would have just waved it off.

So I implore you to continue living. Try to be alive in every situation. Live life to its fullest extent permitted. I am alive, you can be also.

Oh @buezor what a great story! I could feel life in all the colors while reading this. Sorry for your loss, but I am sure she watches over you with a smile full of being proud of her son.
And you made the busdriver happy by telling him about your joy. I think telling joy and success stories goes viral so good you didnt keep it secret :-)
