Finished games of 2021. Not played but finished.

The key to this list is finished 😀
I won't start playing another game of any length unless it's a quick arcade type game that doesn't have much story to it. Less than 30 minutes is my general criteria in this instance.
Finding the time these days is tough but I still squeeze some gameplay in here and there.
This year I finished 9 games with the Nintendo Switch getting the biggest workout this year. Who knew? I'm glad I keep a list of what I've been playing!
Fallout 4 (Sony Playstation 4)
The longest game was Fallout 4 on the Playstation 4 with close to 70 hours of gameplay. This is not so surprising to me as I've loved Fallout 3 and put in way too much time into that one. I'm generally not into the 60+ hour game anymore but this series always draws me in.
I love the dystopian retro/future vibe this entire series in bathed in. As for Fallout 4, it was alright but didn't capture my attention like part 3.
This game crashed within the first 15 minutes of gameplay as I groaned and yelled BETHESDA! I also encountered the 0kb save bug and that was really annoying. This is Fallout and I always run into issues playing it.
Ori and the Blind Forest: Definitive Edition (Nintendo Switch)
Great Metroidvania game with some very tricky platforming sections. Graphics are spectacular.
Blaster Master Zero 2 (Nintendo Switch)
Re-imagining of the Blaster Master series. Retro goodness in store for those that enjoy it
Blair Witch (Nintendo Switch)
I had to play this since I loved The Blair Witch Project film. Set 2 years after the events of the original film. There's some fun to be had here in this survival horror. The use of your dog to help throughout the game is a great idea.
Bastion (Nintendo Switch)
Really enjoyed this action rpg. The dynamic narrator is a great idea.
Monster Boy and the Cursed Kingdom (Nintendo Switch)
Totally disappointed in this platformer. I love the Monster Boy series but found this tedious and lacking in many areas.
Transistor (Nintendo Switch)
The second game from the creators of Bastion. An action rpg that didn't click in the story or gameplay department for me.
Ori and the Will of the Wisps (Nintendo Switch)
The sequel to Ori and the Blind Forest. Excellent work on a second outing for this Metroidvania.
Axiom Verge 2 (Nintendo Switch)
A Metroidvania very different to the original. At first I didn't much care for it but it has since grown on me. I love the soundtrack, it's so eclectic.
As I mentioned about my film viewing habits in another posting my gameplay time wasn't as extensive as usual. There were some good games and some bad ones in here too.
As for recommendations, I always enjoy the Metroidvania type games. Ori, Axiom Verge and Blaster Master games were my favorite. Once in awhile I'll get terribly stuck as usual but that always happens at some point.
I hope everyone had fun gaming this year and look forward to all the new titles coming out in 2022!
