Greetings my appreciated Splinterlands community! Welcome to my contribution to the Social media challenge which of course will be focused on the new edition of Rebellion cards. And it couldn't be any other way just 2 days ago we were able to open our packs and what new cards this new edition brings for us!

Y es que no podía ser de otra forma apenas hace 2 días pudimos abrir nuestros packs y que que nuevas cartas trae esta nueva edición para nosotros!
My first Rebellion cards/Mis primeras cartas Rebellion
Just yesterday I bought my first 2 Rebellion cards and I made it a very specific purpose, to try out the new Ambush ability: Units with this ability start combat before the first round of battle even begins! During this Bonus Round Zero, only Ambush characters can take any action.
Justo ayer compre mis 2 primeras cartas Rebellion y lo hice un propósito muy específico, probar la nueva habilidad Ambush: ¡Las unidades con esta habilidad comienzan el combate incluso antes de que comience la primera ronda de batalla! Durante esta Ronda Cero de bonificación, solo los personajes de Emboscada pueden realizar alguna acción.
I chose these 2 water and fire classes for very specific reasons, to start with the release of the Untamed edition I lost Axemaster, a key card in my lineups with the water class, so I need a solid substitute and this card meets those conditions as well. In my most recent post I talked about my favorite class for Rebellion, which is this one. On the fire class side, I felt my deck was incomplete since the number of cards with sneak in the modern format was insufficient, Tenjii stryker and Uraeus needed another card with this ability to complement them and Gobalano soldier is precisely the card we need.
Escogía estas 2 clases agua y fuego por razones muy específicas, para comenzar con la salida de la edición Untamed perdí a Axemaster una carta clave en mis alineaciones con la clase de agua, así que necesito un sustituto sólido y esta carta cumple con esas condiciones además que en mi post más reciente hable sobre mi clase favorita para Rebellion que es esta. Por el lado de la clase fuego sentía incompleto mi mazo ya que se me hacía insuficiente la cantidad de cartas con sneak en el formato moderno, Tenjii stryker y Uraeus necesitaban otra carta con esta habilidad para complementarlas y Gobalano soldier es precisamente la carta que necesitamos.
With our first acquisitions incorporated into our deck, it's time to test the potential of each of these cards, let's start with my favorite class: Water!
Con nuestras primeras adquisiciones incorporadas a nuestro mazo llego la hora de probar el potencial de cada una de estas cartas, comencemos con mi clase favorita: Agua!
🌊First battle: Testing Sultry Barmaid/Primera batalla: Probando a Sultry Barmaid
For this battle we have a wide mana limit: 57 but we can only choose 2 classes: death and water.
Para esta batalla tenemos un amplio límite de mana: 57 pero solo podremos escoger 2 clases: muerte y agua.
The rules are not easy at all, we can only use cards with ranged attacks, there is an earthquake on the battlefield and none of the units can be healed by abilities such as heal, tank heal or triage.
Las reglas no son nada fáciles, solo podremos utilizar cartas con ataques rango, hay terremoto en el campo de batalla y ninguna de las unidades puede ser sanada por habilidades como heal, tank heal o triage.
Summoner/Invocador: Lir Summoner
Lir Summoner is the perfect summoner for this battle. He gives our units the return fire ability so all the attacks they receive will be returned with retaliatory attacks and the other important modifier is the +2 defense to protect our units from the earthquake.
Lir Summoner es el invocador perfecto para esta batalla le confiere a nuestras unidades la habilidad return fire asi que todos los ataques que reciban serán regresados con ataques de represalia y el otro modificador importante son el +2 de defensa para proteger nuestras unidades del terremoto.
La Vanguardia/The vanguard: Wave brood/Poseidon
They represent our spearhead, Wave brood, in addition to attracting enemy attacks, it has a huge amount of life and the close range ability, being able to attack from the first position. Poseidon is the backup in case Brood Wave falls, this card from level 1 has the shield ability which allows it to reduce all range damage by half.
Representan nuestra punta de lanza, Wave brood además de atraer los ataques enemigos, tiene una enorme cantidad de vida y la habilidad rango cercano pudiendo atacar desde la primera posición. Poseidon es el respaldo en caso de caer Brood Wave, esta carta desde el nivel 1 tiene la habilidad shield lo que le permite reducir todo el daño rango a la mitad.
Bateria ofensiva: Axemaster/ Azmaré
These 2 cards do terrible damage for any lineup you face, they combine high damage power with very high speed so they will be the first cards to attack, we will place them in the middle of our lineup to protect them from enemy attacks.
Estas 2 cartas hacen un daño terrible para cuanquier alineación que enfrentes, combinan un alto poder de daño con una muy alta velocidad por lo que serán las primeras cartas en atacar, las ubicaremos a la mitad de nuestra alineación para protegerlas de los ataques enemigos.
The punchline/El remate: Sultry barmaid/Cornealus
Sultry barmaid is the card that we will put to the test in this battle, its Ambush ability will allow it before the battle formally begins, giving it a strategic advantage, while with Cornealus we close our lineup, a card with the Heal ability becomes a difficult target to defeat so we will place her in the last position.
Sultry barmaid es la carta que pondremos a prueba en esta batalla, su habilidad Ambush le permitirá antes que comience formalmente la batalla, otorgándole una ventaja estratégica, mientras que con Cornealus cerramos nuestra alineación, una carta con la habilidad Heal se convierte en un objetivo difícil de derrotar asi que la ubicaremos en la última posición.
Alignment and battle!/Alineación y batalla!
Our opponent's lineup is relatively similar since all of his cards are from the Chaos Legion edition, we have the advantage of having Untamed cards on our team that are clearly more powerful. The link to the battle is in the image, let's then proceed to describe the stages of this battle.
La alineación de nuestro oponente relativamente similar ya que todas sus cartas son de la edición Chaos legion, nosotros tenemos la ventaja de tener en nuestro equipo cartas Untamed que son claramente más poderosas. Round 1
Before starting the first round, the ambush of our Sultry Barmaid card is applied, removing the defense of the enemy tank. It seems like something minimal but that small action was enough to expose the Wave brood and our team could eliminate it in the first round.
Antes de comenzar el primer round se aplica la ambush de nuestra carta Sultry Barmaid retirando la defensa del tanque enemigo, parece algo mínimo pero esa pequeña acción fue suficiente para exponer al Wave brood y que nuestro equipo lo pudiera eliminar en el primer round.
Rounds 2 & 3
The consequences of the return fire and the earthquake are noticeable in the enemy lineup, since at the beginning of the 2nd round their cards are already very weakened. This is how our Axemaster eliminates the enemy Merdhampir and Kulu. Already in the third round Conealus eliminates the Angelic mandarin so that Azmare harpoonist finally finishes off Gargoya devil and gives us the victory.
Las consecuencias del return fire y el terremoto se hacen notar en la alineación enemiga, ya que al comenzar el 2do round sus cartas ya están muy debilitadas. Es así como nuestro Axemaster elimina a Merdhampir y al Kulu enemigos. Ya en el tercer round Conealus elimina al Angelic mandarin para que finalmente Azmare harpoonist acabe con Gargoya devil y otorgarnos la victoria.
🐲Second battle: Testing Gobalano Soldier/Segunda batalla: Probando a Gobalano Soldier
We already evaluated the potential of the ambush ability in the water class, but what about the fire class, this is for me one of the classes that is indebted to us, over time I have come to think that this class is still in construction and the arrival of Rebellion confirms this reflection. In the next battle the summoners are silenced, all units have the magic reflect ability and none of the attacks can miss. And although we can use the fire, water, life and dragon classes, the mana limit is quite tight: 26.
Ya evaluamos el potencial de la habilidad ambush en la clase agua, pero que que tal en la clase fuego, esta es para mi una de las clases que esta en deuda con nosotros, con el tiempo he llegado a pensar que esta clase aun esta en construcción y la llegada de Rebellion confirma esta reflexión. En la siguiente batalla los invocadores están silenciados, todas las unidades tienen la habilidad magic reflect y ninguno de los ataque pueden fallar. Y aunque podemos utilizar las clases fuego, agua, vida y dragón, el límite de mana es bastante ajustado: 26.
Summoner/Invocador: Camila
In this section there is not much to explain, we use Camila because she is our summoner who costs the least mana and thus prepare a lineup with the greatest number of cards that have the sneak ability.
En este apartado no hay mucho que explicar usamos a Camila porque es nuestro invocador que cuesta menos mana y así preparar una alineación con la mayor cantidad de cartas que tengan la habilidad sneak.
La Vanguardia/The vanguard: Tusk the Wide/Ferox defender
This pair makes up an exceptional vanguard, unfortunately my summoner is level 4 so we cannot see the full potential of these 2 cards in this battle that is a gold league, but it is still a fairly robust configuration: Tusk has void and a huge amount of life, while Ferox defend gives +2 defense to the entire team. We have no interest in attacking the enemy tank so I'm not worried about Tusk's offensive potential, I'm interested in him taking as much damage as possible.
Este par conforman una vanguardia excepcional, lamentablemente mi invocador es nivel 4 así que no podemos ver todo el potencial de estas 2 cartas en esta batalla que es liga de oro, pero aun así sigue siendo una configuración bastante robusta: Tusk tiene vacío y una enorme cantidad de vida, mientras que Ferox defender le confiere +2 de defensa a todo el equipo. Offensive core/Nucleo ofensivo: Kobold/Gobalano/Dhampir
As I mentioned before, our objective will be to break the enemy lineup from the rear and to do this we will use these 3 cards with the sneak ability, Dhampir infiltrator stands out for its double strike ability and Gobalano soldier for the ambush. I think that for this battle, low mana is enough, as the last element we use the Fiend scorch to cover our rear from possible cards with the enemy's sneak.
Como mencioné anteriormente nuestro objetivo será romper la alineación enemiga desde la retaguardia y para ello utilizaremos a estas 3 cartas con la habilidad sneak, destacan Dhampir infiltrator por su habilidad double strike y Gobalano soldier por el ambush. Creo que para esta batalla de bajo mana es suficiente, como último elemento utilizamos el Fiend scorch para cubrir nuestra retaguardia de posibles cartas con sneak del enemigo.
Alignment and battle!/Alineación y batalla!
Once the team was formed and the battle was sent, we observed that our opponent also placed a minitank with vacuum, the biggest problem is represented by the Uraeus in the penultimate position that threatens to violate our rear, so everything will depend on the speed of our units . Una vez formado el equipo y enviada la batalla observamos que nuestro oponente también ubico un minitanque con vacío, el mayor problema lo representa el Uraeus en la penúltima posición que amenaza con vulnerar nuestra retaguardia, así que todo va a depender de la velocidad de nuestras unidades. El link a la batalla esta en la imagen para que puedas disfrutar del combate con mayor detalle.
Round 1 & 2
Clearly our opponent opted for speed but did not expect that we would use a card with the ambush ability, so we managed to weaken the Supply runner before starting the battle and although the opponent has the initiative our Dhapir managed to eliminate him with 2 hits, while Kobold and Gobalano They have weakened Uraeus. In the 2nd round Dhampir eliminates the Uraeus but ends up being poisoned, however she will be able to live to attack in the next round.
Claramente nuestro oponente apostó por la velocidad pero no contaba con que usaríamos una carta con la habilidad ambush, asi logramos debilitar el Supply runner antes de iniciar la batalla y aunque el contrario tiene la iniciativa nuestro Dhapir logró eliminarlo con 2 golpes, mientras Kobold y Gobalano han debilitado a Uraeus. En el 2do round Dhampir elimina al Uraeus pero termina siendo envenenada sin embargo podrá vivir para atacar en el siguiente round.
Rounds 3 & 4
Throughout the previous rounds Anachron bolter has been weakened by magic reflect, so in the 3rd round he ends up eliminating himself by attacking Tusk, leaving only 3 cards. Dhampir with his last attack eliminates the Furious chicken and since the Venator kinjo is invisible, the xenith monk receives the combined attacks of Kobold and Gobalano to be finally eliminated by Tusk. In the last round our Dhampir says goodbye with the satisfaction of having fulfilled his duty and again the Kobold and Gobalano pair are in charge of dispatching the Venator to finish this battle. Victory!
A lo largo de los rounds anteriores Anachron bolter se ha estado debilitando con el magic reflect, asi en el 3er round se termina auto eliminando al atacar a Tusk dejando así solo 3 cartas. Dhampir con su último ataque elimina al Furious chicken y como el Venator kinjo es invisible, el Xenith monk recibe los ataques combinados de Kobold y Gobalano para ser finalmente eliminado por Tusk. En el último round nuestro Dhampir se despide con la satisfacción del deber cumplido y nuevamente el par Kobold y Gobalano se encargan de despachar al Venator para terminar esta batalla. Victoria!
Conclusions/Conclusiones
The ambush ability will undoubtedly become an element that will drastically change the way you play in Splinterlands, the ability to perform one or more attacks before starting the battle offers a strategic advantage.
La habilidad ambush sin ninguna duda se convertirá en un elemento que cambiará drásticamente la forma de jugar en Splinterlands, la posibilidad de realizar uno o más ataques antes de comenzar la batalla ofrece una ventaja estratégica.
My projection in the short and medium term is that the Akane summoner will become a highly valuable asset in the coming months, the possibility of conferring ambush to 2 units on the battlefield can make a difference in very close battles.
