A childhood friend i can never forget
Childhood was fun, all thanks to the friends I made..
I have told the story of how I grew up in a very bushy rural area that can be termed a forest as at that time, it was just two houses in the whole of my street....
It was 8 months later when my mother came to join us[ me and my sister ]that she created a pathway in the backyard which leads to the other street and there lives my daddy's friend with his family...
He has three boys and one girl who was the last born, the second to the eldest was my age mate while the eldest would senior us with like 2 to 3 years but it does not make any difference, we all played together...
I was even much closer to the eldest until I and the second born started to attend the same school. That made our bond grow stronger even though we were not in the same class, I was one class ahead of him...
One thing you need to know about my friend is that he is very violent and I blame his father for that... He used an iron fist to raise all his kids, he flogged them without mercy whenever they offend him and I believe that is what turns him into the person he becomes...
The eldest child was still very gentle even amidst the flogging and torture from their father so I will say my friend had that violence in him and the father only pushed it out more...
By the time we grew older and gain admission to junior secondary school, he was already into so many things, drinking, smoking and others I do not want to mention, by the time we got to senior secondary school, he has already joined cult but all these doesn't change the fact that he is my childhood friend....
I still love him and his brother the same way, we had so many memories together and he is very good to me amidst all that others are saying, he also regards me as his childhood friend, A devil to someone could be another person's angel...
We lost contact when I left home and he also left the area, this was 7 years ago, he is not an online person so no way to find him...
A part of me wants to see him and another part of me is curious to know if he has changed and stopped all the hooliganism or if he has gotten worse, but aside from all that I really want to connect with him again...
We had many memories, we visited the river together to swim and catch fish, we played most of the games in childhood together[ suwe, bojuboju, police, and thief] watch wrestling, play the cd games and so much more..
That is one friend I can never forget and I long to see him, hopefully, he is still alive....

Hmm... Constant flogging of a child can eventually make him/she worst than they are, asides that this is really a friendship to cherish. I Hope you meet him someday.
yea iron hand tend to change kids, they become fearless and they can be easily influenced into doing bad stuffs
Upon reading I wonder too where is your friend right now? Hopefully one day you'll see each other again and you will be surprised how he had change into a better person, I wish too.

Yes, that is what we ought to say, hopefully if he is still alive. It's been years of separation and the first time that comes to mind is if such a friend is still alive and if they are, we want to meet them, gist and share memories together. I hope your friend is still alive and doing fine, and most especially would have changed his behaviour.

Despite that some of us don't keep friends we must have meet that special one which we don't want to forget and at anytime we will feel like connecting with that person.
