A language I desire to Learn
Aside the official language, While growing up the first language i was taught in school was french, it was fun learning the days of the week, the month of the year, numbers and also how to greet in french but it ended abruptly...The french teacher stopped coming for reasons best known to the school management and that was also the end of us kids learning french but some of the things we learnt stick to our memory till date as we were taught some in songs format....
The one language that i am keen to learn is Hindi I am a big fan of Bollywood and i have been watching their movie for a long period of time, you can say i started watching India movies the moment i was born because i landed in a family of bollywood fans.....
I realized no matter how interesting an India movie may be, if they do not translate it, i would never watch it because i am not for just fighting scenes in movie, i want to understand the story and everything and most times i prefer watching their love films than the actions... So i lost interest whenever it is not subtitled in english as i do not understand their language...
I understand some of their single words like mother, son, love, come, go and short words like that but i can't comprehend their full sentence so learning the language would make subtitles unnecessary anymore...
If you check my music list, it is 70 percent hindi songs...
I love their love songs and the fact that i have watched the movies of those songs helps in giving it an interpretation but even aside that, their melodious tune and sweet voice appease the soul
Learning their language would help me to understand their lyrics better rather than just vibing to their beats and tune...
The first time i heard their National Anthem, My head was swelling up, just so interesting and it seems i will be visiting india someday so i need to understand their language in order to be able to vibe with my friends and people over there....

Am a fan of Bollywood movies but without English subtitles, it makes no sense since one doesn't understand the language.
Thou I prefer Korean movie also and that's what me and my wife watch most of the time. I will love to learn Korean language

I like three of their movies and those are the 3 idiots, Ghajini, and the movie about a dyslexic boy, I forget the title. These three captured and moved me to tears! lol

I understand Hindi because this language is similar to my national language Urdu. There is just a little difference between them. So I understand Hindi language.

Yes Indian dance is very popular along with movies.
It's easy for me because my national language is Urdu. Urdu and Hindi are almost similar languages. But it will be difficult for you hehe. But yeah, if you learn Hindi, you will learn almost Pakistani national language too. (A bonus package)💕 haha
i have a pakistani friend and she said the same thing as you, that it is easy for her to understand hindi.... Hopefully someday my wishes will come to pass

I am also a serious fan of Indian movies, and their languages is so interesting and I would love to say, it is something to talk about... I can't forget one Hindi word I picked while I was growing up, "Nehhi" 🙃😁 it sounds so sweet and till date I love calling the word without any reason.. thanks for sharing this sir

You really like the Indian culture. I also experience your statement that talks about how you lost contact in learning french. I also enjoyed but loss contact in the learning process due to the fact that school management wasn't paying the French teacher as expected.

Wow! It's been a while I heard someone mention Hindi language... You just reminded me of the craze for Bollywood and zeeworld that year. Omo I was hooked. Indian movies are interesting but Kdrama has taken over me 😂😍.

I can totally understand. Pity your french teacher "disappeared". I loved the french language and wish I were fluent - it would be handy for me as well. I can understand that you would love to speak hindi as well. It is great the influence entertainment has on us.
