Apologizing is one of the best way of promoting peace in the world

The word Sorry was created for a big purpose, it has been saving many people either from who they offend or who they mistakenly hurt... The word sorry melt heart and let people let go of their grudges towards one another.....

There are people who abuse this word though, they intentionally do bad hoping to say sorry and such people kinda make the word meaningless when they use it but it all depends on who they are....

Like my partner is very stubborn and purposely do things and end up with saying i am sorry, it got to an extent that her i am sorry started to sound like poem to my ear, why do this things when you are eventually going to apologize? that doesn't stop her from repeating the same offence but still as long as she keeps saying i am sorry all i can do is forgive her...

There are others that intentionally hurt others and apologize and what i know how to do best is avoid such kind of people after i accepted their apology, once is a mistake but when it becomes continuously, it is time to avoid them before they do something that their apology won't be able to solve...

Meanwhile there are also people who doesn't like to say sorry, they would prefer making you happy in another way than telling you sorry... I fall in this category of people, the reason why i don't like to say it is because i don't feel i am wrong but sometimes by the time i realized i am actually at fault, the word sorry would be too heavy to say, so what i just do is find a means to make the person happy and i will use that as my way of apologizing.....

I learnt that habit of not saying sorry when i became a teacher, my first time of flogging my pupils, i felt heart broken when i see some of them crying and i was almost pushed to beg them but then i flogged them for an offence and apologizing is not ideal, so i shrugged off the idea and i was surprised after 30 mins that the pupils crying have started laughing and smiling at me again...

That is one thing about children, they hold no grudges and after that experience, i no longer get worried for flogging them for an offence knowing they won't take it to heart, i don't really flog all the time though, only for good reason....

If i should say sorry to someone, it must have mean i have hurt the person in a painful way unconsciously to me, i don't have a problem apologizing if i feel that i am really at fault and i try my possible best not to wrong anyone... I am a peacemaker who doesn't like trouble but i am trouble itself if i am pushed to the wall....

I think people should always man up and apologize when they are at fault though, apologizing promote peace in the society and without it, many would be all out on taking revenge on those who hurt them and that would make the world really chaotic...

Funny how you said you hardly say sorry to people.
Although it does happen to me as well, especially to my partner.

She cherished the word sorry so much, so I don't use it anyhow unless that issue has caused a lot of problems. Then I will say sorry.

But it's good to be saying sorry in a tight situation so that it can bring peace.

it seems we are the same in this aspect, yea i also don't say sorry to mine except when she demands i say it by force😁 and generally i dont like apologizing to anyone except i really hurt them which i rarely do

you are right, we should cultivate the habit but also we should learn not to hurt people instead of keep repeating sorry every single time

As much as I want peace, I mostly don’t say sorry to bring peace. I say sorry when I’m genuinely wrong. But like Burl pointed out, sometimes it takes me a while to realize I’m really wrong. In my case, even when I realize later I was wrong, I still apologize. But I won’t say sorry if I don’t feel that I’m wrong. Not even to keep peace.

Yes you're right, sorry is a great word to reconnect people with some misunderstanding.

Like you, I and my husband is not fond of saying sorry. If we have misunderstanding, we didn't talk to each other but when we were able to talk again, say our endearment call and then we're okay.

There are really different ways to say sorry, some in words, in actions, and other through gifts.

I'm not also the one who says sorry so easily but I also don't say it too late. When friction occurs between an encounter, I try solving it as soon as I can before it gets out of hand. Peace is a beautiful thing and we should always strive to achieve that feeling.

I used to have problems with saying sorry. Not anymore tho.
I rarely ever have reasons to say sorry now. But if ever there is, I apologise. It's the right thing to do. E no suppose hard.

I agree that saying sorry is an important part of keeping relationships alive and mending human connections. Me, I say sorry a lot, every time I’m wrong. The problem with me is just that when I don’t feel that I’m wrong, you won’t hear sorry from me no matter what. I just won’t say it. Not even to keep peace. I do that so that when I say sorry, you know that I’m admitting I was really wrong and that I’m genuinely sorry about whatever the situation is.

Some people will take advantage of you if you keep apologizing to keep the peace even when you’re not wrong. Your sorry needs to actually mean something. It needs to mean you’re wrong, and knowing how difficult it is to admit you’re wrong, you won’t keep doing whatever it is, if you don’t want to keep saying sorry.

Yeah they are. My dad is the kinda person that doesn't like apologizing, he finds other ways to. He did it to a point were everyone at home got fed up, and we all crossed our minds that there was nothing he would do to change our minds.

That's when he learned to apologize. I think that sentence it self is magical, coming from a sincere heart

Some people actually say sorry not because they're sorry but because they want to escape from what they did wrong. This poses a threat as there's the chance for such person to keep repeating. At some convenient time, it is better to trash out whatever was in dispute

I have folks like that... they always say sorry like it's now a normal thing to say regardless the offence. Some will say it and still mock you behind your back but this simple word is very important even in the spiritual realm talk more of physical!

Saying this word is entirely a different thing and meaning it is another different thing...
