It is the raining season!!
It is the raining season, the month of june has always been the month with the highest rainfall but it was not the same for the last three years as we have low rainfall but this year changes everything again, we are having rain almost everyday, if it is not raining heavily then it would be drizzling...
It still rain in my area today, oh well ofcouse we all know the effect of rainfall in Nigeria where we have no good roads and so many pot holes, the rain will worsen the conditions of so many places. this is the time where you would see people using bucket to take out water from their apartment and this is the season where the road will be so flooded and vehicles would be swimming in the pool of water on the road....
All this are as a result of lack of good drainage system, the government ought to work on this but they prefer embezzling the money meant for this than developing the country, so yea this is a bad time for those who had to go far distance due to their work and also people whose home is near the riverine areas..
Last week, flood carried a grown man away and till now no one knows his whereabout, hard to tell if he escaped it or perished inside the water, i just hope he survived as water is very powerful and many have lost their life to it...
The farmers are very happy with this rainfall as it will help their crops to germinate and sooner they will reap a bountiful harvest...
Aside being concerned about people and their daily activities, i love the rainy season, i love to play in the rain and i sleep well in the night too due to the cold weather....
My only concern right now is that my cloth refuse to dry up! it keeps raining every day and no sun, what will happen when i run out of cloth to wear and those i washed still refuse to dry, i guess i am going to be putting on wet clothes lol..

lol, well i had fun time in the rain today as i did my laundry while it was raining, what is left now is for those clothes to also dry xd

Sometimes I actually wish some flooded areas can be channelled straight to the desert
some funds will be needed for that and the government dont have time for such development
I do not think it is something feasible considering the distance from rainy areas to deserts!
I love the rainy weather as well, it is really great to feel cool but the negative effect of the rainy weather wouldn't just make a lot of people pray for the rain because when it comes it does cause problems.
It is not the fault of the rain, we can't blame the government for everything either because the drainages we have ain't been used well by the citizens of the country.

I hope they will, you know how those people can show no concern because they are not affected.
@burlarj same concerns here,but you know people are also not serious to change their way of living. We cannot just blame government for everything, we are also not doing our part due to which we are having these problems. Rain is a blessing from God which turns into trouble due to our deeds LOL take care and hope you get some dry cloths to put on. Good Luck with that hahaha
lol say me a prayer for my clothes to get dry, well i think it is unfair to blame the government only, the citizens are part of the problems too, some people will just litter the street with refuse and it is those things that end up blocking the passage way of the drainage...

I have done this once. It was my only uniform then and it never got dried rill the next morning.. I did it anyway...😂

Wow same here, imagine having kids in this weather and you wash their cloth every day. So I put the wet cloth on a big cloth hanger and at night I bring in the hanger and put on a standing fan towards it so it can help the drying process. You can try it that can help too. Thanks for sharing .

The potholes and poor or no drainage system on the roads also cause the rise in transport fares to skyrocket as soon as one little dark cloud forms..
maybe soon people will have to water-ski to their destinations instead of taking vehicles.😂

Go and be putting on wet clothes 😂😂😂 you can actually make a wire or rope in your room to dry your clothes. At least if you are lucky your clothes had been drained for the water, you can just spread inside while the air dries it completely.

I hope people are being safe. When they say don't drive through rising and high water, they should heed the warning. We have enough of that with flooding here.

I love rain, and the rain we got this past few days was very nice because before it was too hot outside, now it's more manageable. As for the clothes...I have a dryer machine that does all the work. 😁

The rainy season is more to say loved by many but the reverse is the case for me though, I do prepare for the dry season at least there is all always sun for business to smoothly move.

Water is indeed powerful, and when it carries someone it is usually quite difficult to escape it. bad government can be blamed, but also citizens can be blamed as well, because many throw their trash into gutters and drainages, thereby blocking them. Hence the flood.
