My entry to Hive naija weekly contest: surviving an economic meltdown
Big thanks to the hive-naija community for this great intiatives, it help to remember the old days, i remember when i joined the hive community in the year 2017 it was still known as steemit back then, it was very high, the coin was selling for 8usd and it was a happy moment when i cash out my first pay out...
I actually joined during the bull run and was so clueless about the bull run and bear season, i had no idea about cryptocurrency nor about the pump and dump, so i was just enjoying the green candle not until the year 2018, it all started as a joke, it was a little crash that happened and every one was hoping the market would pick fast again but it started becoming real as everything keeps crashing..
Hive dipped from 8dollars to 0.25cent, i didn't have much savings as i was still new, so many people left the platform because they were not getting much again, there were many hiveans from my country back then but slowly our numbers decreased. I didn't leave because i believed half bread is better than none, i can still make some hive and if i can't keep it, i will sell it like that to survive and keep the rest....
Luckily i was able to find the city of neoxian and there neoxian gave us hope that the coins will rise again but also the city was just the kinda place i was looking for, a place where i can play all day and earn, so during the bear season, it was still fun, we were all together and we crossed it..
If i didn't leave the platform when i had no savings and i depend solely on the platform to eat and feed, i think you already have your answer of what i will do now that i have some savings....
I will answer it tho, to be honest i want a big dip to happen as well, it is during the big dip that millionaires are made, those who are willing to keep posting and doing their normal routine on the hive blockchain will be able to gather more hive and that is exactly what i planned to do, i want to be powerful on the hive platform so i planned to have like 100 000 hive power!! The first step is to get to 20 k hive power...

very funny yet, interesting how you put it out like that...tho am new kinda a month plus, not very encouraging upvotes tho, but i just find it fun to write and post despite the downturn, hive has taught me more how to be creative, and definitely i know the Boom season will come....thanks @bularj for sharing
looks like we are in the boom season, hive reached 3 dollars, which is a new all time high but i believe it can surpass that too and as for you getting smaller vote, don't give up. your time will definitely come too, i have been there and i cross the obstacle.. thanks
