The Power of Family Bond
Family bond is one of the greatest blessings in life. It is a bond of blood, and no matter how heartless a person may be, seeing a family member hurt will still affect them.

Even evil people do not like seeing their loved ones get hurt. It is not something they can control; it is in the blood, and it gets triggered on its own.
You can fight with your siblings every day, but when you see them in danger, you will not ignore them. You will rescue or defend them first, and the fight can continue later after they have been saved.
I remember growing up, my mum and dad once fought for me, and I was so proud of them. It was the first and last time they did because I was not a troublesome child. Yes, I was playful, but I never looked for trouble. So, I never really allowed them to defend me outside until that day.
As usual, I went to the field in the evening to play football. One of my childhood friends was always getting on my nerves. I cannot count how many times we fought, and I usually disciplined him because I was older than him. In fact, it was his elder brother who was my agemate.
On that particular day, he made me angry again, and we got physical. Then a woman whose house was close to the field came over. Instead of settling the fight, she used her slippers to beat me. I felt cheated, angry, and sad at the same time, so I ran home crying.
It was the first time I had ever cried at home because of a fight, so my parents knew it must have been something that really hurt me. I guess that hurt them too. My dad became furious and rushed out immediately. My mum tried to calm him down, but he would not listen. He went straight to the woman’s house and warned her never to touch his child again. The woman apologized in the end.
I was happy with the outcome of the whole situation, and my heart finally found peace.
It was also the last time he fought for me because, as I said earlier, I was not a troublesome child. That was probably why he reacted the way he did, and I was so proud of him.
This is what families do: they fight for and defend their loved ones when they are cheated or attacked.
I have always had a good bond with my sisters. At a certain stage in my life, I lived with two of them, which also allowed me to bond closely with my niece and nephew. Because of how close we became, they hardly see me as their uncle; they see me more as their brother.
My brothers and I also have a good relationship. That is why whenever I am in a position to help or show them love, I do so without hesitation. I know that if they were in the same position I find myself in today, they would treat me the same way. The love is mutual.
To some people, family is their weakness, but to me, they are my strength.
I feel safe whenever I am around them, knowing they would never allow any evil to befall me in their presence. And I will do whatever it takes to protect them too. It is never one-sided.
The best way to strengthen family bonds is to be there for one another. Love, support, and presence during both good and difficult times are what keep a family united.
