There was a country
Greed has been one of the major problem affecting humans and it is everywhere, People want things in excess and that has been one of the thing causing set back in many nations...
The mindset of people changes when they acquire what they want and a sudden thirst for more get to them, their insatiable appetite made them greedy to the extent that they would do anything just to get more without thinking about others...
The Government determines the state of a Country because those group of people called politicians are the one with the powers and they are the one making every decisions concerning the country development...
Unfortunately the Nigeria Government is only concerned about their pockets, building many houses, transferring money they can't spend in their lifetime to banks overseas, buying cars and more assets with the money they supposed to use to develop the country....
There is nothing worth being proud of in this country, No good roads, Not enough equipment in hospitals, they just do not care about their citizens in any way...
I heard there is a program in some countries, where an individual can go to school through the help of the Government sponsoring him and after graduating, he will be offered a job in which the money they spent to cater for his schooling will be removed bit by bit till he pays in full....
My country would never emulate such a good thing, they don't want to spend instead they want to keep filling up their bags...
I don't think the country will ever get better because the damage is beyond what we can imagine, owing so many countries billions of dollars! yet we do not see the benefit of the loan they claim to obtain in our life or the country well being...
The new President won't be able to change anything no matter who he is, because the nigeria politics is beyond something one man can control, the rulers are behind the scenes controlling the puppet called president so we only see the face of the puppet, those making the decisions are hiding..

It’s really sad and painful the situation you describe. Unfortunately Nigeria is not the only one struggling with/because of politicians.
It’s complex to understand a nation culture but maybe one of the biggest influences are the acting of politicians.
Yes! because they are the one with the power, if a country is doing well, all thanks to their leaders and if it is the other way round, the blame goes to the leaders as well....

Hmmm...well said. Nigerian government are truly concerned about their well being living yhr citizens behind or to suffer. Politicians are not ready to save the nation's but are ready to siphon the national cake.
The damage done by this people is beyond our thinking and they just keep doing more.
How did we get here?
I just hope and pray it get better.

Greed indeed is the root of all things the nation is going through.
I just hope saying Nigeria is a failed country won't get anybody offended. Our leaders just don't care about the masses.

The state of Nigeria is so pathetic and the elite are busy acquiring more wealth at the detriment of the masses without any iota of guilt.

I always say Nigeria is damaged beyond repair and my friends will call me pessimistic.
Things are literally going from bad to worse daily and it’s sad that we can’t do anything about it. There’s conspiracy and sabotage amongst people that are appointed to rule us so there’s no sign of progress year in and year out.
I really pray things get better soon for us as a nation because praying for this country is even tiring.
this is not about being pessimistic, you are absolutely right and those still believing in one nigeria are being delusional, it is over for this country in my own opinion...
In this country, most of our leaders are only interested in what will benefit them personally, not what will benefit the people they are supposed to serve.

Not sure those leaders want it fixed because that would mean them losing their power and their source of wealth
They just keep lying about fixing it, they definitely don't have anything to offer than to embezzle the country wealth for themselves.
