It takes a second to become friends with someone but friendship differs and there are different types of friendship, people makes friends with others for different reason and most times it is for selfish reason and benefit...
A rich man would say he has many friends because people are always flocking around him, but are they really his friends or are they with him because of his money... It is really hard for a rich man to know those who trully love him..
This is the reason why some rich men commit suicide when they become poor, they missed the respect given to them, they missed their friends who were always around, they missed their loved one who promised to stick around till the end....

People cherish the friendship they made when they were nothing because those people really have nothing to gain from them, but they are always there for each other, gisting, laughing and supporting each other regardless of any situation they may find themselves...
That is what we call genuine friendship, one that comes from the heart, where nothing is expected but everything is given.....
A best friend is someone who knows you more than you tell him, who can tell if you are sad just by looking at your eyes, he knows how you feel without expressing yourself and they can read you in and out without any difficulty because they are involved with you with their heart and mind...
True friendship is hard to find nowadays but not impossible to get, loyal people still exist and will never leave you no matter the situation or hardship you are facing in life... If you have such people in your life, cherish them because you may not be lucky to find someone like them ever in your life time again...

Yes, it did, but it didn't happen the way I wanted because I had to work, I was looking after the house, so like every kid, I couldn't fly whenever I wanted.

Sadly, this is the absolutely truth. People tend to become your friends when they stand to gain something at the end.. it might not be money but it could be a favor or something else.. there’s always a motive.
