Africa, it is one among the seven continents in the world. The continent is second largest which is only Smaller than asia, and there about 1.2 billion people on the continent (that's about 16% of the world population). It has stretches of untouched nature and landscape brimming with rich wildlife and beautiful cultures. The continent is made up of 54 countries altogether, with over 2000 different languages with different dialects.
There are alot of natural wonders in africa, and below are some of the things that makes africa special.

(i). HOME TO THE WORLD LONGEST RIVER

The Nile river, is the longest river in the world although some researchers are arguing that The Amazon is longer. The Nile river flows through many different African countries and is the main water source of Egypt, Sudan and South Sudan.

(ii). VICTORIA FALLS ZAMBIA AND ZIMBABWE

Victoria Falls is a waterfall on the Zambezi River in southern Africa, which provides habitat for several unique species of plants and animals. It is the largest moving body of water on the Earth. It has become a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of Africa’s most impressive landmarks which borders both Zambia and Zimbabwe.

(iii). PYRAMID OF GIZA, EGYPT

This is definitely one wonder of the world. The famous Giza Pyramids which is near Cairo was built around 2650 BBC from 2.5 million blocks of limestone. Made to depict the north, south, east and west, the Giza Pyramid is where the King Cheops was buried. it is a sphinx, a half lion, half human statue which is considered to be the world’s largest and oldest statue.

(iv). MOUNT KILIMANJARO, TANZANIA

Mount Kilimanjaro is the highest mountain in Africa rising about 16000 ft above sea level. This dormant volcano in Tanzania is the prime feature of the Kilimanjaro National Park. It is accessible to anyone fit and adventurous and the scenery is beautiful.

The Sahara Desert is the world’s third largest desert after the cold Antarctic and Arctic deserts. It is ranked highest as the hottest desert in the world. The size of the desert is 3,500,000 square miles (it is comparable to the size of the United States). It covers much of North Africa and it is home to several wandering tribes or nomads.The desert is not completely lifeless as there are several species of fox, addax, Dama gazelle, Saharan cheetah, monitor lizard, sand vipers, African wild dog, red-necked ostrich, desert crocodiles, Saharan silver ant, dromedary camels, and goats that lives in the desert.

(vi). FISH RIVER CANYON, NAMIBIA

The Fish River Canyon is the second largest river canyon in the world after the Grand Canyon. It is a stunning natural wonder which is situated in the Namibian Desert, and it is over 160 km long, 27kms wide and 550mt deep and has a flowing river which stops during the dry season. You’ll be bound to see Zebra’s, Kudu’s and Klipspringers around.

The red sea reef is an inlet of seawater in the Indian Ocean, situated between Asia and Africa, along the coast of Egypt, Sudan, and Eritrea. It is the largest coral reef system in all of Africa and the third largest reef system in the world. The reef extends 1,240 miles (2,000 km) along the coastline of Africa (Egypt, Sudan, Eritrea). The sea is renowned for its rich corals and marine life. More than 1000 species of invertebrates and 200 hard and soft coral species live in the sea.

That fish in the last frame is a stingray.. I remember we used to buy this in bulk at home. It's really delicious. Note- it's the smaller version.

Africa has so man wonders that it's impossible to note them all.
