WHAT DEFINES A GOOD PERSON

People have different ways of defining others. Some believe they deserve a certain level of goodwill from others because of the help they rendered to the person earlier in life. Meanwhile, others see virtues such as goodness as an inbuilt quality in an individual which manifests as you encounter the individual.

Therefore, a good person to me is not defined by the possession of wealth, knowledge, or artificial disposal of love to another. Rather, I think and do believe that a good person is someone who lives by their word. Someone who naturally does not have plenty but is moved by passion to share the little they have with someone who has nothing.
A good person is someone who can go out of their way to stand up, protect, and see to another person's safety, care, and health when such a duty calls. I have friends, but there is this good friend of mine who can’t stand my distress or be at peace when I am disturbed. She will do everything within her limits to ensure that I am happy and comfortable.

Some of the qualities of a good person include integrity, honesty, and empathy, but the most important quality for me is compassion. Just like the creator was always filled with compassion on so many occasions when he was faced with people's challenges. That compassion moved him to raise Lazarus. Elisha was also moved with compassion to bless the Shunamite woman with a prophecy of a child.
When people are moved with compassion, they sometimes go beyond their capability to render support. I think that a good person has something that drives them, and I think that the driving force is compassion.

On the other hand, some people can make mistakes because they are new to what they are doing or are under pressure or serious scrutiny; that does not cancel them. They can learn from that mistake and transform into a better version of themselves.

We once recruited a graphic designer who was making a lot of mistakes and committing blunders because he was micromanaged, tossed by dick, Tom, and Harry. At some point, he resigned, and in his exit interview, he stated his reasons for giving up, and we realigned with him. The micromanaging stopped, and his performance was incredible.

Furthermore, people can pretend to be good, but time has a way of testing such people. Not long, their true character is revealed to the world.

In conclusion, time is the revealer of all truths, especially where fake and doubt about something exist. But there are good people.
