When It Felt Like Shattered Dream, The Love And Support Ignited Hope #305

How do you find the strength to keep moving forward when the world tries to make you feel small?

Hello #ladiesofhives, happy new week. I am super excited to be a witness to the 6th anniversary of the community. Nothing good comes easy. This is literally a show of hard work, commitment, support, and undying love for each other in sun and in rain.

This week’s topic is life, oh. The world is sweet; other times it is bitter. You will find the good, bad, and ugly sides of life in the world. Sometimes, you might not even know there is a sinister plan until it is unravelled; that is when you will begin to nod in awe of the circumstances. This topic is somehow an opportunity for us to rant a little about life, so here we go.

Has the world tried to make me feel small? Yes? Several times. I will start with my latest experience here on Hive around January, when I was scammed out of all my resources here through a phishing link I clicked.

I was deeply hurt, felt very small and confused as to how I fell for such a trick; I was broken, and my dreams and set goals were nearly shattered. Giving up was the only thing that remained when one of the sagacious ladies here gave me hope by helping to change my keys, retrieve my account, and encouraging me to push on. Ever since, she and some other sagacious ladies here have given me overwhelming support.

Furthermore, some other individuals here on Hive have been awesome, with one encouraging me with 100 Hives to push on through the world. Various support came from numerous angles. Time and space will fail me to start mentioning their names.

Family From The Church

At another time, I was nearly humiliated and made to feel small when I booked an Uber home from the church. To double-check my location, I sent our location and street address to the driver to confirm the route and that he was okay with the charges, and he confirmed. He arrived, and we embarked on the journey. Midway, the driver parked and said the journey had ended. We began to argue. Thank God, I didn't log out of the app.

At that juncture, we alighted as he tried to attract public sympathy. While he was showing his record to people, I looked at the app and immediately got a notification that the driver had changed our route location. Immediately, I took a screenshot of the message and challenged him with that, while the people around us started accusing him of being a bad person. At that point, he withdrew, entered the vehicle, and quietly took us to our destination.

Argument Resolved And We Quietly Went Home

So, when the world tries to make me small, the genuine love, good counsel, and support I get from people around me, no matter the percentage, bring me back and give me the strength to keep moving, knowing that the world is not looking for people who give excuses for failure but people who are tough when the road is rough, and individuals who won’t quit; winners never quit, and quitters never win anything.
