The road to Happiness🌴

Si creías que me puse filosófica con el título de este post y que trataba de colocar en palabras algo muy mágico, tal vez 😂 pero en realidad el nombre de este post va a dedicado a un lugar MUY ESPECIAL de mi país, Venezuela.

If you thought that I got philosophical with the title of this post and that I was trying to put into words something very magical, maybe 😂 but actually the name of this post is dedicated to a VERY SPECIAL place in my country, Venezuela.

Se trata de un tramo de carretera ubicado en el estado Falcón, que es taaaan hermoso que es popularmente llamado así: El camino de la felicidad. Pero, antes de llegar ahí, te tengo que contar cómo comenzó nuestro viaje...

It is a stretch of road located in the Falcón state, which is soooo beautiful that it is popularly called: The path of happiness. But, before I get there, I have to tell you how our journey began...

Todo comenzó en mi ciudad natal: Guanare, ubicada en el estado Portuguesa, Venezuela. A poco menos de 5 horas de distancia. Nos despertamos muy temprano y a las 5 am ya estábamos montando todas las maletas, cavas y comida que llevábamos para el fin de semana. Y a las 6 am salimos a nuestra aventura😴!

It all started in my hometown: Guanare, located in the Portuguesa state, Venezuela. 5 hours away from our destiny. We woke up very early and at 5 am we were already packing all the suitcases, wine cellars and food that we had for the weekend. And at 6 am we started our roadtrip😴!

No fue sino hasta las 7 am cuando yo ya estaba un poco más despierta😅que decidimos parar a comer empanadas en la carretera y comencé a documentar todo en fotos.

It wasn't until 7 am when I was a little more awake😅that we decided to stop to eat empanadas on the road and I began to document everything in photos.

Mi madre y yo habíamos preparado unas empanadas en casa para llevar durante el viaje y compartir con los demás acompañantes que eran: mi tio y mis dos primos. Sin embargo, yo era la encargada de meter las empanadas al carro y las olvidé😔, estaba tan dormida que se me quedaron. Mi mamá estaba muy molesta😖 así que tuve que comprar desayuno en la carretera para contentarla jaja.

My mother and I had prepared some empanadas at home to take during the trip and share with the other companions who were: my uncle and my two cousins. However, I was in charge of putting the empanadas in the car and I forgot them😔, she was so asleep that they stayed on me. My mom was very upset😖 so I had to buy breakfast on the road to make her happy haha.

Barriga llena, corazón contento dicen en mi país. Una vez desayunamos, mi mami me perdonó y continuamos nuestro camino. Pasamos por Barquisimeto y una hora después ya estábamos pasando por el estado Yaracuy, acercándonos un poco más a nuestro objetivo final: la playa🌴.

Full belly, happy heart they say in my country. Once we had breakfast, my mom forgave me and we continued on our way. We passed through Barquisimeto and an hour later we were already passing through the Yaracuy state, getting a little closer to our final goal: the beach🌴.

Mientras escuchábamos música divertida y cantábamos, la carretera se pasó muy rápida y en un abrir y cerrar de ojos ya veíamos el letrero que nos decía que llegamos al estado Falcón😍. Si no eres de Venezuela, Falcón es uno de los estado más hermosos de mi país porque tiene salida al hermoso Mar Caribe y sus playas son espectaculares.

While we listened to fun music and sang, the road went by very quickly and in the blink of an eye we already saw the sign that told us that we had reached Falcón state😍. If you are not from Venezuela, Falcón is one of the most beautiful states in my country because it has access to the beautiful Caribbean Sea and its beaches are spectacular.

Aunque nuestro destino era la población de "Chichiriviche", un pequeño pueblito playero para el que aún teníamos que recorrer unos 40 minutos más para llegar, ya estábamos en el estado Falcón y sabíamos que luego de ese letrero, venía ese lugar especial del que les hablaba al principio del post: El Camino de la Felicidad...

Although our destination was the town of "Chichiriviche", a small beach town to which we still had to travel another 40 minutes to get there, we were already in the state of Falcón and we knew that after that sign, that special place from which I was talking at the beginning of the post: The Way of Happiness...

Este trayecto de carretera tan hermoso, donde palmeras altísimas adornan los costados del camino está ubicado en la población de Boca de Aroa, un pequeño pueblito que está literalmente en la orilla del Mar Caribe.

This beautiful road trip, where towering palm trees adorn the sides of the road, is located in the town of Boca de Aroa, a small town that is literally on the shores of the Caribbean Sea.

Llegar allí y ver esas palmeras, luego mirar a la derecha y ver el mar ahí a escasos metros de la called, es entender que vas a disfrutar, a compartir. Es sinónimo de diversión, de relax y de buenos momentos. Pasar por allí y no detenerse a admirar el lugar y a tomarse fotos es casi considered un pecado.

Getting there and seeing those palm trees, then looking to the right and seeing the sea there a few meters from the street, is to understand that you are going to enjoy, to share. It is synonymous with fun, relaxation and good times. Going through there and not stopping to admire the place and take photos is almost considered a sin.

Luego de estar aproximadamente 20-30 minutes allí en Boca de Aroa disfrutando de see camino de la felicidad, seguimos nuestro viaje, más felices que nunca y recargardos de esa energía. Luego de 30-40 minutes llegamos a Chichiriviche donde una letras gigantes nos dieron la bienvenida, nuestro destino final y sobre el cual les contaré en un próximo post...

After spending approximately 20-30 minutes there in Boca de Aroa enjoying the road to happiness, we continued our journey, happier than ever and recharged with that energy. After 30-40 minutes we arrived at Chichiriviche, our final destination and which I will tell you more about in a future post...
