Hello everyone, This is @cantfoldaces participating in the Weekly Battle Mage Secrets Challenge, in the best #play2earn game out there!! #Splinterlands!!

Another week Another Challenge, I was so mad that I forgot to save some Max Level Battles with the Equal Opportunity Ruleset but luckily I've always saved some decent/cool battles for the specific occasion of the weekly battle mages ans this battle would be one of them!

Equal Opportunity

• All units gain the opportunity ability which allows them to attack the unit with the lowest health on the enemy team.

This kind of Ruleset changes the dynamic of the game overall and favours the most aggressive and oppressive playstyles yet again some other kind of strats, one of them emerged with the introduction of Martyr:

• I guess you've heard somewhere the term of Martyr Sandwich and this means putting a Carry monster between 2 Martyr Monsters
• In Equal Opportunity Ruleset, with the Martyr Monsters being likely with the lowest Health, are prone to being attacked first
• Leading to an easy proc of the Double Martyr while our Monster is put in our chosen spot.

This is an example on how the **Martyr Sandwich is played:

• High Mana Cap 43 Mana
• Fire, Earth, Death and Dragons available
• Equal Opportunity + Return Fire Rulesets

I have decided to go with the following team :

Summoner

Ability: +1 Speed + Conscript

The Dragon Soulbound Summoner, the first part of the strategy is to use the summoner that allows to invoke a Gladius Card that would be described below.
Moreover, the +1 Speed will give me an edge by being the first to act in such an offensive oriented Ruleset!

Tank Position

Ability: Void Armor + Taunt

This monster will allow me to have some control on the Ruleset with the Taunt ability and somehow, if faced with heavy magic damage dealers, offset some of that annoying damage and hoping for it to survive as long as possible.

Double Martyr

The green team allows for a combination of 2 low health, Ranged, Martyr Monsters.
As explained above, both of them being target to opportunity attacks, leading to the desired Martyr buffs. An even if the taunt monster holds on, the Fire & Regret Ruleset will result in the suicide of these monsters and reap the desired outcome!

The Benefactor

Ability: Bloodlust + Heal
Probably the strongest card on the Gladius Set because of it's insane Damage (Melee + Magic), the Bloodlust that enhances both types of damages ofter every taken down and lastly, the insane sustain that get's even more important the higher the bloodlust stacks you get!
Let's not forget about being in the Martyr Sandwich Formation that will net in a couple of buffs to all its Stats! => 4 Magic + 4 Melee + 5 Speed + 13 Health !

Another attacker

Ability: Double Strike + Sneak

Having another attacker in this ruleset is always beneficial, although Opportunity gets overshadowed by sneak, it can still deal respectable damage to the backline especially when buffed with this following monster:

A buffer

Ability: Inspire
A support card used to buff the damage of my Dhampir Stalker leading to 4 Sneak Damage per turn, an additional damage to Quora Towershead Melee Damage and lastly, on my Taunt monster to bump it up to 5 Damage!

Pre Round 1

I came to face what I was afraid of, a Team full of magic damage monsters with an extra protection with Queen Mycelia Armor. This battle would be rough and luckily I did bring a resilient Taunt to my team!

Round 1

• My Terracious Hulk was absolutely decimated and couldn't even survive till the end of the 1st Round against the Magic barrage!
• enemy Goblin Psychic took down the 1st Martyr
• This leads to a buff on both Quora & Dhampir Infiltrator!

Round 2

• Quora gets the 1st kill on the annoying Taunt Mycelic Slipspawn and bumps up its Damage to 4 Magic + 5 Melee!
• Dhampir Infiltrator takes another kill after a deadly double strike on the Spirit Hoarder
• Grunds eliminated Fungus Flinger, leading to Quora gaining yet another buff!
• Unfortunately, Dhampir was the target of opportunity attacks from the rest of the Magic Team and is OUT!
• Now we're 2 V 4!

Round 3

• Quora first to act and left Grund with half HP while the latter misses both his strikes on Quora
• Thane newsong got eliminated by Queen Mycelia
• Now it's Quora VS 4 !

Round 4+5+6+7

• Quora fires it shots to take down the heavy hitter Grund!
• Now facing against 3 Magic Monsters dealing a total of 8 Damage per turn.
• The first Magic Bolt takes down Magi Necrosi while the Melee hit got in Goblin's Armor
• It took a couple of Rounds for Quora to extermine all the opposing enemy and finally clinch the WIN for +26 Trophies & 0.428 SPS!

After Battle Commentary

• Nothing much to say about my team, it's made to showoff the power of Martyr Sandwich and the Early Spike it provides for Quora to go into a killing Spree while keeping up with all the upcoming damage thanks to an insane sustain as it's Health gradually goes UP!
• Obviously, Bloodlust Monsters are the ones that benefit most of the Martyr Sandwich Strategy!
