Splinterlands Land Update Episode 8 with the Weekly Market Report - 1/28/24
Good morning Praetorians!!
I hope you're having an amazing time in the Splinterverse!
There's always a lot going on in the Splinterlands world and in the surrounding ecosystems - in this case we just got word from @aggroed about an ENTIRELY NEW PROJECT called Arcade Colony and their first game called Moon Karts! Pretty excited to see what that looks like for current SPS/GLS Token Holders as there is a reward for staking those tokens!
Thank you for joining me this week, I appreciate you stopping in to get the week over week update on what is happening with Land in my favorite web3, play2earn game!
"Yeaaaaaaaaah... about that... yawn... So normally I'd be all abuzz with excitement over the developments in Praetoria but this week we saw the launch of Conflicts, between the Chaos Empire and the Rebels... so not much has been going on"...
"Ok... yeah... there's been a few things - let's take a look at the map this week while Conflicts steals our thunder..."
Last week we ended our report at (R139) Virren, Tract 04, Plot 72... As you can see from the map, in the whole week, we've only seen TWO PLOTS Claimed and only ONE OF THEM SURVEYED...
With so little action, I decided to take a vacation to the tropical paradise of Kalita, in the Central Fire area... I did visit the new plots in Virren before I left and here's what I found:
Plot 072 was Claimed by @el-pecio and was Surveyed to be a Common Natty Caldera. There's nothing going on there yet, so I moved on to see what was discovered at Plot 073... Congratulations on your new Plot el-pecio!!
However, upon arriving at Plot 073 I realized I was the first on scene... the Survey Teams hadn't even arrived and @cornman hadn't discovered what their new Plot contained. Congrats on owning that Plot and best of luck with your Survey!
After congratulating both El-Pecio and Cornman... I decided to enjoy a vacation at the beach! We hope you had a great week reader and Desk Me... but I'm going back to relaxing and I hope Conflicts doesn't continue to steal our thunder next week!
Financial Me, I hope you have more to report than I did - otherwise we won't have a very exciting Land Report this week... Financial Me, how do the Land Markets look, with Conflicts in full swing?
Well Field Me, the markets haven't seen much action either... let's cut back to the overview tab and as you can see - the 24h volume has been $1,500... this is about the highest it has been all week too, Conflicts has kinda stolen the spotlight for the time being...

Interestingly we saw a 10% reduction in available supply of Common Natural Plots... and a somewhat correlating increase in price too... Supply: 1240 to 1107... Price $30 to $32... These prices still seem like a deal... especially considering how much I paid for my Deed back in the "Hype Days" lol.

Legendary Magical Lands finally seeing some big movement here - @aatrox is no longer on the Sale Board so they might have sold their Leggo... @zerace has discounted theirs to only $800... Seeeeeeeeeems like a deal to me!! But I could be wrong lol!!
