My Entry for the #SMaP Show Me a Photo Contest Round 165

Hello everyone in the @featheredfriends community. I hope we are all doing well. I remember what my Dad used to tell me when he never kicked the bucket. He used to tell me that birds are the flowers of the sky. Birds can make a man look at the sky and get lost. I agree with him because birds have different varieties, those that are colorful and those that are not. Some are funny to behold and some are dirty to get close to. They are all living things and deserve attention. That is why I must appreciate the #featheredfriends community and particularly @nelinoeva for creating this opportunity for us to pay attention to the birds around us. When they notice we often take a look at them and most times snap them, it makes them feel recognized and important. The birds too have brains and can relate with human actions.

This is my entry for the "#SMaP show me a photo contest round 165" with theme: Bird(s) on Wires. My entry this time is not going to be like the normal, it's time to take a new shape. I'm going to tell you a story about those birds using their photos which I took while observing them. The amazing thing is that I have two birds to show you, BIRDS 1 and BIRDS 2. This is my entry photo:

          THE BIRDS 1 STORY

The first set of birds I saw perching on the wire were pigeons. I first saw the female perching alone.

I was wondering why it was alone because it wasn't a common thing to see pigeons alone in my area. They often go about with their pairs. The pigeons are social birds and often observe courtship with pairs. They also practice territorialism, meaning they find a place and call it home, make their nests there and never let intruder birds of any kind in. You may wonder how I knew the first bird was the female, read the next part of the story.

So while still observing the female, behold the great male bird flying with its wings wide open just perched on the same wire. What amazed me was the fact that the male bird perched at a little distance from the female bird.

I tried to phantom the reason for such action but the next action from the male bird detailed the mystery. Why the male perched a little distance because it wanted to dance step by step, puffing its feathers to look more cute for the female.

While the male was approaching, the female was also giving the male a little gap. This is what humans do too. It just shows a scenario where a man has to dress properly and spray good perfume to meet a lady and when the lady sees her love she has to show off a little pride by pretending not to see the man and expecting the man to approach her.

The male bird moved till it finally met the female and they started having their love talk. I guess the male bird must have told the female how the cost of living is going high and there is no more trash.

          BIRDS 2 STORY

The birds I also saw perching on a wire were the sparrows. The two came at the same time. As I was approaching a trash site, I didn't see any birds perching on the wires. But immediately I reached the trash site, I saw two sparrows flying from the ground to the wires and perched there. I guessed these two were also pairs that would soon wed or already wedded, hehe.

These were the birds I have seen and snapped while perching on a wire. I hope you love the picture and the short story as well.

Thanks for checking up on my post and have a great day.
THE IMAGES ARE ALL MINE, TAKEN WITH MY CELLPHONE.
Forgive me, I would had made the images more clearer and larger, but I'm just a young boy trying to make good photographs with his cellphone. Thanks for understanding and loving the photos.
