Sunday, My Fun-filled Day

"Why you children looking suspicious and restless",my Dad asked Angel and me. We wanted to visit my cousins as usual. My sister and I enjoyed visiting my cousins on Sundays. So this Sunday,my parents didn't talk about it and we had to show them what we wanted by our behavior. My dad later gave permission to go. Sunday is my favorite day,one of the reasons is because,my sister and I normally visited my cousins only on Sundays and my uncle's house is filled with fun. My uncle's house is more like a hotel and a gaming center. There is also swimming pool outside.

Sunday is my favorite day of the week. Most times,my parents take us out to eateries and malls. This happens when they are very happy or we have made them proud. This outing is mostly on Sundays as that is the only day we are completely free. My parents normally make sure we settle our school tasks such as reading and finishing up assignments on Saturdays. I remember when my Dad took us to the swimming pool at one of the popular leisure centers in the city after we narrated to them how we enjoyed swimming at my uncle's house. My parents told us that they know we love swimming in the pool but he will build a swimming pool in his house because it is dangerous and promised to take us out to swim regularly on Sundays.

I also prefer Sunday to other days of the week because it's the day that we cook my favorite meal. From our food menu list,on Sunday morning,we aet bread and tea,afternoon and night we my favorite: fried rice,fried chicken and fried plantain. I often eat to my satisfaction mostly on Sundays. I enjoy helping Mom in the kitchen because I know I will surely have a bigger share than normal. I remember one Sunday that I finished my food,I got extra food from my sister,dad and mom,I ate till I almost puked.

Monday to Friday is filled with school stress. I am always happy when it's Friday but not completely happy when I remember that the next day, Saturday is general house cleanup. I love Sunday because it's a stress free day, no school,no cleaning activities or other fun free activities. Most times when we do not leave for church on Sunday, I sleep till it looks like I will never see stress again in my life.

On Sundays,when we return from my uncle's house or if we did not visit them, we always engage ourselves with washing our parents car. This is a very fun-filled activity for us. My sister and I love playing with the rushing water from the washing pipes.

We wash my parents cars every Sunday against Monday so they would take it to work clean. We often look messed up after washing the car because we used to play with the rushing water which most times splash sand and leaves on our heads and body.
