¡Saludos querida comunidad de Writing Club! Hoy he querido traer un texto que escribí como un homenaje a Julio Cortázar, El señor de los manuales. Es un relato que pretende ser divertido y en ningún momento promociona o justifica la agresión animal.

Vaya al Parque zoológico de Caricuao (un lunes, ya que el parque está cerrado y hay menos guardias), y con un tractor (que debió alquilar en una ferretería que renta maquinarias) proceda a tumbar la cerca que marca la frontera del zoológico, procurando, eso sí, estar lo más cerca posible del elefante.

Acto seguido busquemos la aprobación del elefante, recuerde que no es un animal doméstico, así que debemos ganar su confianza a la vista de un futuro mejor, lejos de la inclemencia del zoológico y las miradas hirientes de los visitantes. Si le llevas algunas frutas tendrás la mitad del trabajo hecho. Hay que tener en cuenta que el paquidermo está habituado al contacto humano y a ser alimentado.

Diríjase al parque público mas cercano, si tiene una casa con jardín, mas cómodo sería el proceso. Tiene que ir a pie, porque en el metro no dejan pasar animales. Una vez en el lugar, debe clavar cuatro estacas de donde sujetaremos a nuestro elefante, el elefante es más fuerte que cualquier amarre que usted fije, así que solo se quedará en el sitio por una fuerte convicción psicológica. Una vez enganchado, monte sobre el elefante (como si cabalgara) y con un cuchillo bien afilado proceda a cortar la piel, cortando y halando, teniendo cuidado de no hacer tiras, ya que la idea es preservar la piel.

Luego enrolle la piel del elefante y marche corriendo a su casa, si ya estaba en su casa, escóndase en el sótano o en algún lugar. Debe enviar un correo electrónico al zoológico para que vayan en busca del friolento animal.

Elephant Skinning Manual (short story)


Greetings dear Writing Club community! Today I wanted to bring a text I wrote as a tribute to Julio Cortázar, El señor de los manuales. It is a story that aims to be funny and at no time promotes or justifies animal aggression.

Go to the Caricuao Zoo (on a Monday, since the park is closed and there are fewer guards), and with a tractor (which you must have rented from a hardware store that rents machinery) proceed to tear down the fence that marks the border of the zoo, trying, of course, to be as close as possible to the elephant.

Remember that it is not a domestic animal, so we must gain its trust in view of a better future, far from the inclemency of the zoo and the hurtful looks of the visitors. If you bring him some fruits you will have half the job done. Keep in mind that the pachyderm is used to human contact and being fed.

Go to the nearest public park, if you have a house with a garden, the more comfortable the process will be. You have to go on foot, because animals are not allowed in the subway. Once in the place, you must drive four stakes from where we will hold our elephant, the elephant is stronger than any mooring you fix, so it will only stay in place by a strong psychological conviction. Once hooked, mount on the elephant (as if riding) and with a sharp knife proceed to cut the skin, cutting and pulling, being careful not to make strips, as the idea is to preserve the skin.

Then roll up the elephant skin and run home, if it was already at home, hide in the basement or somewhere. You should send an email to the zoo so that they go in search of the chilly animal.

5 years this has been happening to me, it started here, around people that are still here. Homeland security has done nothing at all, they are not here to protect us. Dont we pay them to stop shit like this? The NSA, CIA, FBI, Police and our Government has done nothing. Just like they did with the Havana Syndrome, nothing. Patriot Act my ass. The American government is completely incompetent. The NSA should be taken over by the military and contained Immediately for investigation. Bonito, bien logrado para mi gusto. Es el tipo de lectura para esos momentos en que necesitas, por un momento, ir fuera de la realidad, a buscar aquello que te haga vivir, aunque sea por un instante, con mayor precisión de que estás vivo, en busca de esa risa que no lo logramos ver a nuestro alrededor.
