Three days ago, we said goodbye to my mother-in-law; she lovingly took us in after we lost our apartment in the twin earthquakes. We stayed for three months—honestly, when I first arrived, I thought our stay would be longer, but God had a different path in mind for us. Doors opened, allowing us to move to a place where we could live again without so many limitations.

In my previous post, I mentioned that my sister had offered us her apartment in Guatire. Deciding to move elsewhere wasn't easy, but after weighing everything and seeing how the doors were opening, we now firmly believe it was the right decision.

The first day we arrived here was very difficult and sad; saying goodbye to my mother-in-law was painful. As we settled into my sister’s apartment and I cleaned up, I still couldn't believe how much our lives had changed. I kept asking myself: "What are you doing here? What happens now? Will I be able to adapt?" There were tears—from both my husband and me—and hugs of mutual support, but there was also gratitude. Yes, deep gratitude toward God and toward my sister, who so generously and lovingly offered us her cozy apartment; here, we have practically everything we need to try to lead as normal a life as possible.

We arrived around midday on Sunday; today is Wednesday—three days in. Honestly, I hadn't been able to rest since the earthquake on June 24th—until now. Here, we are calmer; fewer limitations mean more freedom.

Being able to get up and make my coffee without stress and with total freedom is priceless 😁. Seeing my pets roaming freely around most of the apartment makes us so happy and takes another weight off our shoulders; plus, I have complete freedom to cook whatever I want. We are definitely less stressed—there’s no one here monitoring what we eat or do during the day, though I will always be grateful to my mother-in-law for hosting us ❤️; we will always look out for her.

I am very excited to share this news with you. I’ll share some photos so you can get a glimpse of the place where I’m building a life with my husband and our adorable pets.

I have to admit I’m still grappling with mixed feelings—a blend of joy and excitement, accompanied by fear and sadness. I’m trying to take it one day at a time and focus on looking ahead, because if I dwell on what was lost or left behind, I’ll never move forward.

Thank you, dear friends, for reading and for your support. May the Blessed Creator bless you generously 🙏🏼 💕

Being able to make your morning coffee without stress is relaxing after many ups and downs. Keep being grateful for the small good movements and more and more will come. "Law of Attraction"!
