Les doy la más cordial bienvenida a mi publicación de hoy, con la cual quiero compartir un divertido colgante para plantas que hice para adornar mi garaje, hecho con botellas plásticas. Algunas cosas que colocamos para botar nos sirven para transformar y darle otro uso, es lo que llamamos reciclar o reutilizar. Para elaborar un práctico colgante necesitamos:

I warmly welcome you to my post today, with which I want to share a fun pendant for plants that I made to decorate my garage, made with plastic bottles. Some things that we put to throw away serve us to transform and give it another use, it is what we call recycling or reuse. To make a practical pendant we need:

3 botellas plásticas

Un trozo de tela gruesa

Tijeras

Hilo y aguja

Trozo de encaje o cinta

Tierra de abono para matas

3 plantas pequeñas

3 plastic bottles

A piece of thick fabric

Scissors

Needle and thread

A piece of lace or ribbon

Compost soil for plants

3 small plants

Como recomendación la tierra debe ser de hojitas y tronco descompuesto, para que sea liviana. La tela preferiblemente gruesa, para que soporte el peso, yo utilice jean.

As a recommendation, the soil should be made of leaves and decomposed trunk, so that it is light. The fabric preferably thick, to support the weight, I use jean.

Lo primero que hice fue elaborar florecitas con el encaje que tenía disponible. Se debe arruchar el encaje con hilo, luego darle la forma de flor y coser. Me salieron 6 florecitas 4 amarillas y 2 azules.

The first thing I did was make little flowers with the lace I had available. The lace should be creased with thread, then shaped into a flower and sewn. I got 6 little flowers 4 yellow and 2 blue.

Luego tome las botellas para hacerle los orificios necesarios. Primero por donde se sembrara la planta. Se delinea primero con un marcador y luego se corta.

Then take the bottles to make the necessary holes. First where the plant will be planted. It is first outlined with a marker and then cut.

Después por donde se le pondrán las tiras para colgar y algunos para que deseche el exceso de agua al regar la planta. Para eso tome el destornillador más grueso que encontré, lo puse al fuego y una vez bien caliente pude perforar las botellas.

Then where you will put the strips to hang and some to discard the excess water when watering the plant. For that I took the thickest screwdriver I found, I put it on the fire and once it was very hot I was able to pierce the bottles.

Luego del trozo de tela saque varias tiras para, ahora que las botellas están perforadas, puedo colocar la tiras en cada una, por donde lo colgaremos a la superficie y de una botella a otra.

After the piece of cloth I take out several strips so, now that the bottles are perforated, I can place the strips in each one, where we will hang it to the surface and from one bottle to another.

Después, puse a remojar la tierra en agua, porque así es más fácil manipularla al momento de plantar.

Afterwards, I soaked the soil in water, because that way it is easier to manipulate it when planting.

Seguidamente me dispuse a seleccionar entre las plantas de mi jardín cuales serían adecuadas para el colgante.

Then I started to select among the plants in my garden which would be suitable for the pendant.

Una vez elegidas, me dispuse a plantarlas en las botellas, de arriba hacia abajo.

Once chosen, I set about planting them in the bottles, from top to bottom.

Llenar bien cada botella con la tierra, dejando solo es espacio para la planta, después se termina de llenar.

Fill each bottle well with the soil, leaving only space for the plant, then it is finished filling.

Una vez plantadas las 3, puse el colgante en un lugar provisional para colocarle con hilo y aguja las florecitas de encaje que hice al principio.

Once all 3 were planted, I put the pendant in a temporary place to place the little lace flowers that I made at the beginning with a needle and thread.

Ahora si está listo el colgante para lucir en algún lugar de su jardín donde haga falta y adorne. Los mini cactus también serían una buena opción para plantar en este colgante.

Now if the pendant is ready to wear somewhere in your garden where it is needed and adorns. Mini cactus would be also a good choice to plant in this pendant.

Si tienen disponible en casa, pueden pintar la superficie de las botellas por dentro con pintura negra, sería bueno porque eso permitiría conservar más la humedad. Por ahora no cuento con la pintura en casa, por lo que tuve que obviar esa opción.

If you have available at home, you can paint the surface of the bottles on the inside with black paint, it would be fine because that would allow more to keep moisture. Right now I don’t have painting at home so I had to ignore that option.

Reciclar es útil e importante. Transformando lo que tenemos al alcance podemos sacar provecho y contar con algo más de utilidad para nuestra rutina diaria en el hogar. Además, dependiendo del material, evita la contaminación innecesaria y tan dañina para nuestro ambiente. En la actualidad reusar o reciclar también evita gastar innecesariamente, por lo que ayuda en la economía familiar.

Recycling is useful and important. By transforming what we have within reach, we can take advantage and have something more useful for our daily routine at home. In addition, depending on the material, it avoids unnecessary pollution and so harmful to our environment. Currently reusing or recycling also avoids spending unnecessarily, so it helps in the family economy.
