What is really expected in the current scenario in which countries and different regions of the world are giving priority to offshore wind energy, is that there will be a gradual drop in investments in oil and gas exploration and production.

We cannot ignore the growth in O&G investments, however, there is also a growth in investments in offshore wind energy, so it is very possible that offshore wind energy investments will grow and reach a turning point in at least 10 years.

It is an existing competition between the investments made in offshore wind energy and the oil industry, which is currently being won by the investments made to explore new fields and produce oil and gas, However, investments in offshore wind energy are approaching the investment of hydrocarbons with an estimated 87 billion dollars and although the investments made in the oil industry are estimated to reach 140 billion dollars by 2030, but we must take into account that with the increasing growth that is experiencing the investments made in offshore wind energy we can expect that these investments will exceed those of hydrocarbons.

In conclusion, this economic rebound in investment in offshore wind energy brings me a lot of hope, because as the investment is constantly growing, there may be a point where it is more viable to invest in this type of renewable energy instead of investing in the exploitation of hydrocarbons.

This scenario gives us a possibility that in the near future we can be less polluting and have a generating capacity in place to generate enough energy for the world's demand.
