What are the prospects for bitcoin's long-term role?
What leads us to think about what will be the real utility of bitcoin in the future is the fact that currently many of us know and are clear that bitcoin is a digital asset that takes a great advantage over fiat money, however, given the social and economic context, we should analyze what could be its future, since it may not be enough for bitcoin to have a good financial development in the future.
What we do see as a clear indication of the role that bitcoin can play in the future within a framework of use and with a significant financial impact is that of a development with a vision of integrative solutions, given its power of decentralization, bitcoin is a cryptocurrency with omnipresent characteristics that can be used by anyone in the world at any time without the need to be protected by any central bank in the world, this is something that will be understood very well by the large masses in the future, so it could mean a massive use in the future.
Currently there is a context that contains many utilities not only bitcoin if not all cryptocurrencies in general, and is the fact that there are no associated costs as if there are for currency conversion, which means that in the future new players can be added to its adoption that can practically see the bitcoin as a digital currency that can be bought and sold in an easy and safe way.
The negative points of bitcoin and the rest of the cryptocurrencies to take into account in the future are framed in its lack of ability to be regulated, i.e. bitcoin is not regulated or controlled by central banks or governments in the world, so it is currently seen as not real money, this context will be a challenge to overcome for bitcoin in the future, as with some updates made in the future, it may be that bitcoin acquires some features that favor it as a digital asset that has legality, stability and security among its investors.
From my perspective, bitcoin will be in the future a payment mechanism in which transactions will be greater compared to today, it will also change the way it is seen in the future, and will become part of a global economic ecosystem with such a global force that it will incorporate more and more investors and more companies will adapt its adoption as a store of value.
