My Fear For Drugs

met's no longer a secret in my household that between my siblings and me. Right from a young age, I hate drugs and wouldn't even think about taking drugs or going to the hospital when I am sick.

I remember when I was quite e young, whenever I fall sick, my parents will stand at my back with a cane to force me to take the drugs they brought because they discovered most of the drugs bought for me especially when it involves malaria and typhoid were all found inside the store room under the water basin.

I remember my younger self would dump these drugs a day after taking the drugs because I feel well and after my parents knew about it, they stopped being concerned about me anything I am ill because they know I won't take drugs.

I have found myself almost choking on my drugs or nauseous because of the awful smell of drugs and that is one reason why I dread taking drugs.

These days, I have found myself slacking back on the bed, feeling pains all over my body, and not having the appetite for food and this is a sign of malaria and typhoid lurking around me.

I have got my friends and family telling me to go for a test so I can start taking drugs but unfortunately the fear of taking drugs every day for a week or more than a week is making me shrink back from stepping into the hospital.

My mouth is bitter, I am craving food but I don't think there is any taste on my tongue that wants me to eat, and my stomach is aching and grumbling at the same time.

I am sick and need to get better but my fear of drugs is not allowing me to do anything about it.

The medications are certainly not the best for some things. It’s necessary for things like managing a fever with Tylenol or something but for overall sickness thankfully there’s a lot of other ways one can manage to get rid of it. If you can access to good clean water and some vitamins like vitamin C and D it will really help you get your body over it. Those can be a lot better than the drugs and often times it’s cheaper which is good!

I also used to run away from drugs, I preferred to suffer until the pain goes away naturally, but then they made me see it this way: if there is an option to feel better, why not take advantage of it? Sounds pretty reasonable if you look at it that way. I hope you have luck with that.

You are indeed right, maybe it's high time I see it from that perspective. Thank you for your comment.
