  1. A Sequoia partner passed on Cloudflare because he didn’t think a woman could lead a security infrastructure company. Seriously. 🙄

  1. An introduction was arranged with a prominent investor. The meeting was scheduled for a Monday, which should have been a clue. It was assumed to be casual, but the investor treated it as a pitch and brought the entire partnership team from his firm. Hilarity ensued. 🤪 At one point someone said: “You don’t seem very prepared.” That was true, since there wasn’t much preparation. A framed rejection letter followed.
