ENGLISH

Greetings, my dear friends, feline lovers and this wonderful community that gives us the opportunity to share our experiences with our pets.

I want to share with you a little experience we lived with our cat.

This is my furry one, a few weeks ago he got sick and gave us a big scare, for a moment my husband and I thought he was going to die because we could not find what to do to make him better.

I tell you a little about what happened with my feline. At home we call him "Catire", because of his coat color. A few weeks ago we noticed that in his cheek at the bottom (practically in the neck) he had some wounds, however they were not so serious yet, so we started to treat him to avoid complications since we did not have the money to take him to a veterinarian.

As the days went by the wound remained the same and even worse. The truth is that we didn't know what to do. As I told you we didn't have enough money to take him to the doctor, we were worried because the days went by and he didn't get better.

My husband and I kept treating the wound and even gave him antibiotics to help the wound heal. Even so, he was still the same, since it was a problem to cure him because he wouldn't let us, he bit and scratched us, so sometimes it was difficult. But there was a detail, that even though we washed him, he hurt himself a lot with his back paws and the scabs were removed and he started to bleed again.

The wounds he had were not normal and we were wondering where those wounds had come from, since it was the first time something like that had happened to him and we were worried because he was not getting better. We did our best to keep him locked up and not to leave the house, but he wanted to go outside, he wouldn't let it heal and when we finally did, he scratched the wound and obviously it got infected.

So we had no choice but to sedate him so he wouldn't go out and couldn't scratch it with his paws. That day he spent all night and part of the day in his bed, he got up very little and didn't scratch so much, but after the dose wore off, he did the same thing again. We couldn't figure out what to do with him.

We thought of putting some pieces of cloth on his paws to keep him from scratching, but it didn't work because he kept taking it off. I felt exhausted, so we left him alone for a few days. However, my husband healed him once a day and suddenly the wound got better and better.

Until it got better. The wound closed and dried up completely. My husband and I were very happy because we thought he was going to die, but he is much better now. What a great worry he gave us.

This has been all my dear friends.
