Snails invaded the plants

The rainy season has arrived, that is to say winter, in these last days in my city, Maracay, it rains almost every day, but the most curious thing is that it only rains in the afternoon. While in other places it rains only once a week. I wonder how do the animals that need humidity to survive.

Like snails when it doesn't rain, they hide under the ground and get into their shells to survive, that is to say, they look for humidity and with that they stay alive.

Now that winter has come we have had visits of some snails, at the beginning they only came out a few in the patio of the house and in the back floor that is always humid, but lately they have reproduced three times and they have invaded us.

The plants and even a lemon bush we have have snails, something that had not happened before. But we imagine that it feeds on that plant.

We know that these snails cannot live without humidity, that is why when it rains they start to come out both during the day and at night.

The lady of the house, i.e. the neighbor at the beginning did not mind that some snails were on the back floor of her house until she got them. But they multiplied and she doesn't even want to see them anymore because they are killing her plants that she takes care of so much.

Rain is life for animals and also for those who work the land, without it crops do not grow and some animals die, so when winter comes many animals begin to come out and celebrate life as snails, slugs, thousand feet, etc..

This one you will see below is a thousand foot animal known as "diplopada ", they feed on plants, and live in the humidity. Their skin color or carapace tends to a red or brown color. Although it has a resemblance to the one hundred feet, it is not, since the one hundred feet are much faster to walk than this kind.

I want to share with you some pictures of this species that my oldest son found when he was cutting the bush of an aunt's house. This is not the first time we have seen one of these, in my town where I used to live there were many of these species due to the humidity.

THIS HAS BEEN ALL THANKS FOR VISITING MY BLOG.

Nice post, however, to be exact, this is an insect (and other arthropods) community ...
but snails are Mollusca.

Anyway: you showed pics of a millipede, too, so your post contains some arthropods in the end. :)
