Sunday family outing "Las Cocuizas" [Esp/Eng]

Hola, hola mis queridos amigos. Feliz domingo para todos. En el día de hoy quiero compartir este post con ustedes.

El pasado domingo, una amiga nos invitó a un lugar conocido como "Las Cocuizas", en Maracay, Edo. Aragua. Me comenta que ella y algunos hermanos de su iglesia se reunirían en ese lugar para realizar una actividad con los jóvenes y niños, y mis hijos tenían que asistir. Así que me animó para que yo fuera con ellos y que luego de la actividad todos se bañarían en el río y pasarían una tarde agradable.

Mis hijos estaban emocionados porque querían ir a ese lugar, por lo que decidimos ir y pasar un día diferente. Salimos en la mañana para llegar temprano, porque teníamos que tomar dos buses para llegar al lugar. En el camino compramos algunos panes y otras cosas para comer.

Para llegar a las cocuiza nos llevó dos horas de camino. Cuando llegamos al lugar, los niños estaban muy felices y contentos, mi amiga también estaba emocionada y yo ni se diga. Bajamos del autobús y nos fuimos caminando para llegar al lugar, no faltaba mucho.

Hello, hello my dear friends. Happy Sunday to all of you. Today I want to share this post with you.

Last Sunday, a friend invited us to a place known as "Las Cocuizas", in Maracay, Aragua State. She told me that she and some brothers from her church would meet in that place to carry out an activity with the youth and children, and my children had to attend. So she encouraged me to go with them and after the activity they would all swim in the river and spend a nice afternoon.

My kids were excited because they wanted to go there, so we decided to go and spend a different day. We left in the morning to get there early, because we had to take two buses to get to the place. On the way we bought some bread and other things to eat.

It took us two hours to get to the cocuiza. When we arrived at the place, the children were very happy and content, my friend was also excited and I can't even say it. We got off the bus and walked to get to the place, it wasn't much further.

Al llegar a la entrada del parque, pasamos y seguimos caminando. A nuestro alrededor habían muchos árboles, la mañana estaba nublada y el ambiente era fresco y agradable. Sin embargo estábamos algo preocupados porque había tiempo de lluvia, y si llovía el agua estaría más fría de lo normal.

Arriving at the entrance to the park, we passed through and continued walking. All around us there were many trees, the morning was cloudy and the atmosphere was cool and pleasant. However, we were a bit worried because there was rainy weather, and if it rained, the water would be colder than usual.

Al llegar nos reunimos con algunas personas de la iglesia que ya estaban allí esperándonos. Los niños empezaron a ver y explorar el lugar, habían algunos niños bañándose y disfrutando, al ver mis hijos a los niños allí metidos en el agua, ellos se animaron y me preguntaban cuando se iban a bañar, honéstame tenía miedo de que se metieran al agua porque ellos no saben nadar.

When we arrived we met with some people from the church who were already there waiting for us. The children began to see and explore the place, there were some children bathing and enjoying themselves, when my children saw the children there in the water, they became animated and asked me when they were going to bathe, honestly I was afraid that they would go in the water because they do not know how to swim.

Mi amiga me anima y me dice que se podían bañar con confianza, que el río no era hondo. Los dejé bañarse y estaban súper felices y contentos. El agua estaba un poco fría, pero eso a ellos no les importó y se metieron al agua.

My friend encouraged me and told me that they could bathe with confidence, that the river was not deep. I let them swim and they were very happy and content. The water was a bit cold, but they didn't mind and they jumped in.

Mi hijo de tres años estaba ansioso por querer meterse al agua, yo lo deje bañarse en una parte donde no había mucha agua, pero había el detalle era que él quería era donde estaban sus hermanos que era más hondo y había mucha mas agua. Obviamente no lo dejaría meterse pero seria un castigo de mi parte no dejarlo que se bañara, así que lo metí un rato donde estaba un poco seco y podía bañarse.

My three year old son was anxious to get into the water, I let him bathe in a part where there was not much water, but there was the detail that he wanted to go where his brothers were, which was deeper and there was much more water. Obviously I wouldn't let him go in but it would be a punishment on my part not to let him bathe, so I let him go in for a while where it was a little dry and he could bathe.

Los niños se bañaron un rato y salieron para estar con su hermanito, acompañarlo y cuidar de él. Aproveché ese momento y para ir a otro lugar, donde mi pequeño pudiera sentirse cómodo y yo también, estaba un poco nerviosa.

The children bathed for a while and went out to be with their little brother, to accompany him and take care of him. I took advantage of that moment and to go to another place, where my little one could feel comfortable and I too, I was a little nervous.

Allí estuvieron bañándose y jugando los tres por un largo rato, nuevamente cambiamos de lugar porque los niños ya no querían estar allí. Nos fuimos a otro sitio donde la corriente de agua era un poco más fuerte, pero mi niño de tres años no quería meterse porque tenía miedo, me quedé allí con el hasta que el miedo se le pasara.

There the three of them were bathing and playing for a long time, then we changed places again because the children did not want to be there anymore. We went to another place where the water current was a little stronger, but my three year old didn't want to get in because he was afraid, I stayed there with him until the fear passed.

Me gustó estar allí con él verlo, como se divertía y lo emocionado que estaba jugando con el agua, para mí fue un día especial, ya que esta era su primer vez que se bañaba en un río como este.

I enjoyed being there with him watching him, how he was having fun and how excited he was playing with the water, for me it was a special day, as this was his first time swimming in a river like this.

Y ni hablar de los otros dos, la niña y el varón estaban felices, con algo de frío, pero eso no les impidió seguir bañándose. ]Cómo se divirtieron y disfrutaron ese día!

Not to mention the other two, the girl and the boy were happy, a little cold, but that didn't stop them from bathing. What fun and enjoyment they had that day!

Mi otro hijo mayor de diez años no se había metido al agua porque estaba en la actividad de la iglesia con otros niños de su edad, pero luego que terminaran de allí se bañarían todos.

El parque la "Las Cocuizas" es un área recreativa rodeada de mucha diversidad de árboles, animales, cascadas y enormes rocas que hacen de este espacio un lugar atractivo lleno de mucha emoción para todos los turistas que lo visitan. "Las Cocuizas" forma parte del "Parque Nacional Henri Pittier", un importante parque de mi país Venezuela y de Latinoamérica.

En el próximo post les seguiré contando un poco mas de nuestra estadía en ese lugar.

My other oldest son, ten years old, had not gone in the water because he was in the church activity with other children of his age, but after they finished there they would all go in the water.

The park "Las Cocuizas" is a recreational area surrounded by a great diversity of trees, animals, waterfalls and huge rocks that make this place an attractive place full of excitement for all the tourists that visit it. "Las Cocuizas" is part of the "Parque Nacional Henri Pittier", an important park in my country Venezuela and Latin America.
