Old Enough!: Children, Laughter and Honor in a single series [ENG/ESP]
Hello to everyone in the Movies & TV Shows community! Today I bring a new recommendation to sit in front of the TV, this time it's a super special series called My First Mandado, of Japanese origin and from the television network Nippon TV. This series has enchanted more than one thanks to its simple plot and the sweetness of its main characters. Here I tell you a little about it and why you should give it a chance. Let's start!
A little two-year-old boy, belonging to a rural community in Japan, is sent to the market to run his first errand. His mother explains to him exactly what to do: the route to take, what to order at the market and how to cross the streets. The boy, without much hesitation, accepts this challenge and his mother prepares him with an amulet (where he actually carries a microphone), a backpack and a pennant to make signals while crossing the streets. The boy goes out into the street and bravely sets out to accomplish everything. So begins the first episode of this adorable series. Where children around 2 to 5 years old, are sent by their parents to do any kind of shopping or personal delivery. A simple plot but that works perfectly.

El día de hoy traigo una nueva recomendación para sentarse frente a la televisión, está vez se trata de una serie súper especial llamada Mi Primer Mandado, de origen japonés y de la cadena televisiva Nippon TV. Esta serie ha dejado encantado a más de uno gracias a su trama sencilla y la dulzura sus protagonistas. Aquí te cuento un poco sobre ello y porqué deberías de darle una oportunidad ¡Comencemos!
Un pequeño niño de dos años, perteneciente a una comunidad rural de Japón, es enviado al mercado a realizar su primer mandado. Su madre, le explica exactamente que debe hacer: la ruta a seguir, que debe pedir en dicho lugar y cómo cruzar las calles. El niño sin mucho titubeo, acepta este reto y su madre lo prepara con un amuleto (dónde en realidad lleva un micrófono), una mochila y un banderín para hacer señales mientras cruza las calles. El niño sale a la calle y se encamina con valentía a cumplir con todo. Así comienza el primer episodio de esta adorable serie. Dónde niños de alrededor de 2 a 5 años, son enviados por sus padres a realizar cualquier clase de compra o entrega personal. Un trama sencilla pero que funciona perfectamente.
The series enjoys great fame in Japan because, although for us it is something new and quite surprising, the series has been on the air since 1991. Three decades where thousands of viewers celebrate how these little children take their first steps towards self-sufficiency. A virtue much admired in Japan because from a very early age they are taught to be part of the activities that take place in homes, schools and even businesses. Sowing in them not only a level of autonomy but also self-confidence, the value of work, to adapt in society and of course, the honor and dignity that comes with performing a task with satisfaction.
Something that is very striking in each chapter is the spontaneity with which the children behave. Some of them, naturally, do not fully remember the things their parents have asked of them or are easily distracted on the way, leaving aside all duty. Such innocent and sweet comments and actions are simply amusing to watch. But don't worry, they always find a way to successfully accomplish their first errand and their parents are more than happy to see them come home.
La serie goza de gran fama en Japón pues, aunque para nosotros es algo nuevo y bastante sorprendente, la serie lleva al aire desde el año 1991. Unas tres décadas donde miles de espectadores celebran cómo estos pequeños niños toman sus primeros pasos hacia la autosuficiencia. Una virtud muy admirada en Japón pues desde una edad muy temprana les enseñan a ser parte de las actividades que se realizan en los hogares, escuelas y hasta negocios. Sembrando en ellos no solo un nivel de autonomía sino también confianza en sí mismos, el valor del trabajo, a adaptarse en sociedad y por supuesto, el honor y la dignidad que trae realizar con satisfacción una tarea.
Algo que llama mucho la atención en cada capítulo, es la espontaneidad con la que se comportan los niños. Algunos de ellos, naturalmente, no recuerdan completamente las cosas que sus padres les han pedido o se distraen fácilmente en el camino, dejando de lado todo deber. Los comentarios y acciones tan inocentes y dulces, simplemente son divertidas de ver. Pero no se preocupen, ellos siempre encuentran la manera de lograr con éxito su primer mandado y sus padres están más que felices de verlos volver a casa.
Also, the crew that participates in the program, the cameramen dressed as ordinary people to camouflage themselves among the people so that the kids don't notice they are being filmed, are an important part of the show. We will see them running after the children with their huge cameras also camouflaged. And they have another important duty, to protect the child from danger. También, el equipo que participa en el programa, los camarógrafos vestidos de personas comunes para camuflarse entre la gente y que los niños no noten que está siendo grabados, forman una parte importante del show. Pues los veremos corriendo detrás de los niños con sus enormes camaras también camufladas. Y tienen otro deber importante, resguardar al niño de todo peligro. Aunque se les tenga prohibido intervenir en las decisiones del niño pues eso podría afectar la naturalidad y espontaneidad de la que tanto se disfruta. Salvo ocasiones, dónde amerita ayuda.
Para nosotros puede llegar a ser alarmante enfrentarnos a una situación igual; dejar a nuestro niño ir a comprar solo. Por lo que frente a este dilema sobre si es bueno o no dejar a un niño ir solo a comprar cosas, uno de los creadores del programa explica que esta serie fue creada bajo un contexto y no puede ser recreada, es decir, funciona perfectamente en Japón porque fue ideada para ese país, bajo ciertas condiciones y cultura. También recordando que la época en la que se creo la serie, era muy diferente a la de la actualidad. Lo que llevaría a una adaptación de algunas reglas o no. En todo caso, la serie te hará pasar un buen rato entre risas, ternura y felicidad por los logros de estos pequeños. Está disponible en Netflix. Qué serie interesante, es como un reality con niños. Confieso que a medida que te leía me agarraba la cabeza por eso de dejar a niños tan pequeños andar solos, only en Japón jajaja. Comprendo lo de las diferentes culturas y me parece sorprendente. Por otro lado se ve muy tierno para ver, también me da curiosidad. La verdad que no lo conocía. Entendible, entendible jajaja yo también hice lo mismo la primera vez que lo ví pero luego me tranquilice cuando ví que los niños si estaban acompañados. Te la recomiendo, es muy linda y cada capítulo duro poquito, unos 15 minutos a lo mucho. Gracias por pasar 🙌❤️

I didn't know this, nor did I know it was available on netflix. I don't like watching reality shows, but I really don't like the concept of this reality show. can you imagine this in latin america? There are more and more crazy reality shows. maybe I'll watch an episode to see what it's like.
Greetings! Sorry for not responding on time, I just noticed I missed a comment. It seems like a creepy idea to see this in Latin America but that's why the creator of the program points out that it is only designed for some places in Japan and nothing else. No other countries. So it would be unlikely to see this anywhere else. Anyway children never go alone, it has a security team at all times.
Esta es una de las series más tiernas que he visto, me enamoraba de cada niño y los veía hacer todo con una sonrisa en la cara mientras me preocupaba porque nada malo les pasara e hicieran todo lo que les mandaron a hacer muy bien.
